I know the guys at BlueGraySky have been campaigning pretty intensely against gameday shirts and I found myself agreeing with a lot of the points they made.

So, what's your opinion on the matter?

Mine is that there's no point in making shirts for weak opponents like the Naval Academy. But there are a few match-ups where they should make shirts. But the problem is that they're too respectful. If they make shirts, they need to be along the lines of what were made during the Catholics-Convicts series. They have to be insulting, other-wise they're boring and not worth wearing.

But if the status quo remains (and it probably will), I'm strongly against the concept.

i like gameday shirts. just not this years'. those are embarassing. but the point isn't for anyone to pick one up bc it's a big game that year. it's for if you actually go. i'll prob get the mich one, even though it's really gay, just to remember it and wear it when i'm working on the car or in the yard, etc.

plus they make for perfect diamond in the rough finds at goodwill for the next generation (along with nc shirts). i've found some tight shirts this way. just sayin.....

i vote FOR the shirts...but AGAINST the designers. they should have a vote on a couple designs for each game before the season.

Still curious as to what "Here come the black-shirts" pertains to. Hmmm.

I wear THE SHIRT.

It supports the Students. It's one shirt. It works.

Gameday shirts...I would only get one if I went to the game itself.

Against--they always look terrible! They look like somebody's clip art CD exploded all over a grey Hanes t-shirt. Just buy The Shirt and be happy (unless it's yellow).

I am for them to a certain extent

These shirts for the most part are harmless and would be a nice shirt for a younger (kid) fan. While I would not be caught dead wearing any of them except "THE Shirt" I am not opposed to them being created. I own various Notre Dame trash talking shirts; however, none are from the Notre Dame Bookstore..... And now that I think about it... most of them are not even licensed..

I'm for the idea. I'm against the execution. I think the try to hard. And I think selling them ahead of time is useless and the reason why the try to make each one "witty."

I think a simple ND vs (team) with the helmets/logos plus the date would suffice. Sell each respective shirt that day in the bookstore or around the stadium.

I bought one at my first game in South Bend and it made a nice souvenier. That's what it should be.

Sell the surplus after the season for a discounted price.
