My Vote Audrey Denison . When they talk about great Irish player his name seems to always get omitted

and just for the record it's AUTRY Denson... I know easy to typo in message boards... anyway...

Other Irish players that seemed to have been lost a bit (maybe not as much as Denson)...
that I just loved are Micheal Stonebreaker, Mark Green, Derek Brown, Lee Becton and Dusty Zeigler... all among my favs in my lifetime... and not much is ever said about them nowadays except Stone... and that's only because of his crazy name... LOVED these guys...

Allen Rossum is pretty big right now in Atlanta. Pro Bowl returner for Atlanta Falcons.

Malcolm Johnson. He had the old record for 8 straight games with a touchdown catch before the Shark broke it, and he provided a spark through the air in the late 90's during the end of the Holtz Era, and the beginning of the Davie Era. It got a little boring seeing Powlus run the option so Malcolm Johnson's athleticism was always appreciated.

I know it could be a stretch but I don't think Reggie Brooks gets the credit he deserves, how about Lake Dawson.

Good one.

I'll add Marc Edwards.

Even though he played only one year, he did get us an NC (just as 'Bama would claim one):

KEVIN McDOUGAL

He ran the offense extremely efficiently, wasn't prone to be rattled and made minimal mistakes. Would be interesting to see what he'd be like with Weis as a teacher for 4 years

Honorable Mention: JEFF ALM

If I had a $ for every time I heard "Pass knocked down by Alm", I'd be able to afford scUM tix.

Forgotten by some but not by me...still in my mind the second best QB over the past 20 years at ND.

McDougal.........so true! What a great year 1993 was. I can still see him streaking down the sideline for that TD at UM. Great

I also like Jarius Jackson. He was a better QB than the coaching he received.

Ryan Mihalko is who I think of along with Marc Edwards when I think true FB, that kid gave 110% all the time.

that's a good one.powlus had broken his collar bone and mcdougal told holtz he would take them to a national championship and holtz replied that he couldn't even get the team a first down.
holtz blew the boston college game in the beginning,if anything mcdougal brought them. back.

i also like both brooks brothers.
