He's taking his official visits and he'll decide afterward. So that'll come later than he had originally planned. He'll probably make a decision around mid-October (that's my guess, anyway).

I wonder which Illinois game he will be in attendance for?

5-6 wins is not a stretch.

EIU, Rutgers, Cuse, Indiana and Ohio? Come on.

Northwestern lost a lot of key players.

EIU and Ohio, okay. I'd be shocked if they beat Indiana. Indiana beat them pretty handedly last year and Indiana got better. As for Rutgers, they barely beat them last year 33-30, so it's a toss up. On Cuse, I'm not sure. I like Coach and he's had a year now to put in his schemes.

But that's why they play the games, right?

I think Illinois has some Notre Dame folks among us a bit worried when it comes to Arrelious Benn. And they shouldn't be.

He's coming to Notre Dame. I can admire what Zook is doing as far as recruiting goes, but Benn will be lucky to contend for a Big Ten title there let alone a National one. Illinois is a basketball first school and will be for much of the near future. Benn could verbal there and most people wouldn't even know it.

I put my mind at ease about Benn a long time ago.
