Brady Quinn- A Bill, Lion, or Raider?

It's a little early to speculate....it's fun though............but all signs do point towards Quinn being the top pick in next year's draft. After brain-storming all the NFL teams I came up with these three as the most likely destination for the Irish signal-caller. They are projected to be at the bottom of the league and all need QB help. What does everybody think? I think Bills no doubt......

Hopefully not the Lions. I don't want to see Brady get destroyed by the Bears D twice a year. Out of those three it would be a shitty deal no matter what. Oakland has some good talent but no desire, the Lions just suck, and the Bills need some receivers. I'd say the Bills would be the best fit.

As a Detroit native I would have to say that it would be a dream for Brady to rebuild this lion's organization. I can't tell you how happy I was when the Lions didn't pick Matt Leinart last draft. I would've been happier with any wide receiver than having a trojan quarterback in my hometown.

My heart is torn. I'd love to see the Ravens or Browns finish last, but I'd hate to see Brady in their uniform. Then again, I'm able to cheer for Carson Palmer these days. I have no trouble separating college from pro.

Hopefully a Viking. My boys are going to be awfully bad this year. Not to mention that with Brad Johnson as the only vialble QB (at age 37 or 38), the Vikings will be looking to upgrade that position as much as any. The Vikings will either have the owrst record or close to it and will be able to trade for the first or second pick.

I'm not buying into the Vikings as one of the worst teams next year. All that team needs to do is regroup, have a meeting on some boat in the middle of any lake, and get the energy levels back up to where they were a few years ago. This team is solid, as long as they are able to keep their juices flowing.

If Quinn does go number one, he's probably going to Buffalo.

Of those three teams, the Bills are probably going to end up the worst.

The Raiders seem content with Andrew Walter as their QB of the future. Also, it doesn't seem as if Al Davis is too high on picking a quarterback in the first round considering that they skipped on Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler.

lets not forget about the Texans! I am not sure about the situation with Carr and his contract but he was on the hot seat last season and will be this year as well. also I don't see the raiders going after him not with Walters and Brooks just being picked up. the Bills would have to eat alot of sallary on Lossman. Keep in mind that teams might be willing to trade the world to get up to that slot to get him or have a chance at him.

I've always wanted to follow the NFL, but I never had a real reason to. I never felt very close to the Cleveland Browns, so I think that all I need is a little bit of Notre Dame to rub off on a team for me to have a reason to like it.

So Brady's deciding my team.

Please God, please let Brady go to the Lions (only if you give them an offensive line first).

I hope for that every year.
you're an evil man... ;)

Brady to the Browns would be a dream come true... here's hoping the Browns are VERY competitive this year and trade up to get Brady and that the steelers never win another game....... EVER

As a Raider fan, I would love it if Quinn gained citizenship with the Nation. But the Raiders lateley seem to draft only defensive players in the first round.

The Raiders do like Walter, but Quinn, who is almost a lock to be a great NFL QB, will be hard to pass up. Although the Raiders could also use a running back like Petersen. At the same time though, good QBs are very difficult to come by.

A well, here's hoping for a Raiders #1 pick.

What about the Packers? They're primed for a horrendous year and could end up getting up there pretty high. If the Raiders are content with their guy, I don't see the Packers being content with Aaron Rodgers.

Quinn could join his future brother in law for years of losing.

I could possibly see Jerry Jones or little Danny Snyder making a big push come draft time to move towards the top. It would cost a lot, but then look at the track records of these two. Plus a Weis/Parcells connection...........even though this is probably Tuna's last year. Outside of the Bills, Raiders, and Lion..............everybody else in the league should be highly competitive/tough to beat. I think The Pack will actually be a lot better this year.

I don't think AJ Hawk and Charles Woodson are going to save them on defense. As a Bears fan, I rather enjoyed seeing the Packers get Woodson.

One team and one person I absolutely cannot stand. And they overpaid to get him, too.

As a Bills fan I'd love to see Quinn end up there. It's one of the better organizations in football so it would be a good place for him to go.

Packers have Rodgers but I'm not so sure they're very high on him. Quinn would fit in perfectly there because he's really tough like Favre. Fans would appreciate Quinn there.

I think the JETS will have the number one pick, and I could see them taking Quinn, even though they have many QB's right now (Pennington, Ramsey, the rookie they drafted this year, and even Bollinger who looked decent at times last season)..In fact I think the Jets would have taken Quinn at 4 this year.

On paper I'm not sure there is a worse team than the Jets, not to mention they have a rookie coach who was only a coordinator for one year. Don't get me wrong Mangini obviously comes from a good pedigree, but I think he's a little too wet behind the ears, and won't be a success with the Jets. I do however see him being a good coach years from now with a different team.

What's interesting to me about this whole conversation is that there seems to be parity in the NFL this year unlike any other. There are so many teams that are gonna be super competitive. The Jets could land there at #1....... but I really believe the Bills or Raiders will be the worst in football. Interesting also is that I would think Quinn would love to land in NY or Buffalo................but might pull a "Manning" and refuse to play for the Raiders......'cause they have no direction whatsoever. (Sorry Punishment)

I thought the Jets initially as well. It depends, though. I think they have the makings for a great offensive line in place. If they use that correctly, I think they can come up with enough wins to keep them out of the first overall pick.

Ah, its true. I think Al Davis is finally beginning to realize that HE is the problem with the team. His inability to pick and choose the coach he wanted last year brought that to light for him. That's why I was happy with the hiring of Art Shell. He was mistreated last time, and the fans won't stand for it this time around because the fans love Art Shell. I think Davis will relinquish some control to Shell. If Shell is given the responsibility of building a team, without Davis sticking his nose in, the Raiders might begin to move in the right direction. But hopefully not until after they draft Quinn.

No way the Jets win a game against NE or even Miami. Saban and Belichek are just too good with better teams, no way Mangini is on that level yet. I could see them splitting with the Bills, so right there thats a conference record of 1-5.

I agree the Jets have the makings of a nice o line with Fergusion and Mangold, but as good as they may be its tough for rookies to have an immediate impact.

The running game will be bad, Curtis Martin I'm sorry to say is near the end. The WR's aren't very good except Coles, but he wasn't very good last year. The TE Doug Jolley was a disaster last year and a waste of a draft pick they traded for him.

Losing Abraham will really hurt their D, though they do have a few young players on D.

The QB situation will be very interesting, before the season is over I could see them being on their third QB. Pennington when healthy is pretty good, but no one knows how his health will be. Ramsey is tough and has a strong arm so Mangini might be more inclined to start him over Pennington because Pennington just can't throw the ball down field. They're pretty high on the rookie QB they drafted in the second round, so i wouldn't be surprised to see him getting a shot if they're out of playoff contention. Bollinger will probably be released or traded, he looked ok at times last season, if I was a team in dire need of a backup QB I'd try picking him up.

The biggest problem for the Jets will be Mangini, he's only 32 or 33, he's only been a coordinator for one year, and he's coaching in a division with the likes of belichek and Saban, I'm sorry, he may be a good coach someday, but not this season thats for sure. He'll learn from his mistakes with the Jets and someday perhaps be a good coach much like Belichek did with the Browns.

Looking at the Jets schedule it actually doesn't look too bad, they play the likes of the Bills(twice), tennesse, Detroit, houston, green bay(could be bad), vikings, and oakland. Those could be some bad teams so the Jets can maybe bang out enough wins to not get the number 1.

I think its funny that we are all trying so hard to prove to each other that our team is the crappiest in the NFL.

I'm a Bills fan, I guarantee they are the worst.

No, no, you're wrong, I'm a Lions fan and they couldn't beat Western Michigan University.

No, I'm a Raiders fan, and I know they are the worst because its all a bunch of guys in their late 30s running around with their guts sticking out of their jeresey and reliving past glories.

I tell you, the things that summer does to a person. No football and basketball to keep us entertained. So we will come up with any topic just so that we can continue to discuss football. :)

Imagine the influence that Weis could possibly have on the entire situation. His NFL knowledge is far beyond anyone else's in college football. I am sure Quinn will seek his opinion if he's facing going to a team that is in complete shambles.(Manning, Eli) The guy is such a workhorse though that I think he would relish the challenge.
