In that case, Wanstedt is one of the top 5 coaches because when he was in the NFL, he coached some great defensive players.
AAAAAHHHHH!!!! Kill me. Please, just kill me.
Dave Wannstedt? BARF. Talk about a victim of circumstance. The guy was DC of the Cowboys, one of the best and deepest defenses ever thanks to Hershell Walker. I don't care how long he was in the NFL, the guy was a total dope. His first year at Pitt was horrendous.
Pete Carroll has quite a bit of NFL experience. He has also sent more dopes to the NFL recently than good guys out of USC. Did he give Mike Williams good guidance? Not really. And how many of their guys slipped in the draft this past April because of various off the field questions? Plenty of them. Most of them, in fact.
USC isn't all that it is cracked up to be when it comes to promises of NFL riches. This year's draft showed me that you might be good, but what you do off the field comes into question as well. Lendale White, Winston Justice....these were first rounder that tumbled a little further down in the end.
