Word out of the USC camp (that Wade decided not to attend) is that he skipped the camp because he is close to giving his verbal to Oregon.

Man, hopefully this isn't true but if it is, good luck to him.

Nah. If Wade doesn't have an offer now, he'll never get one.

I don't blame the kid. Good luck to him. He'll be a very solid college football player. And I'm sure he could care less about the party scene in the Eugene area.

He'll be busy with his Special Olympics project while other defensive tackles are "having a good time."

This really sucks. But I guess if he didn't get an offer by now, he might not have gotten one. Or at least until every other DT and DE which would have liked to have convereted to DT, had turned us down.

Maybe the coaches feel there is something missing with Wade. They are better evaluators of talent than those of us on message boards. (well, not all)

Quite true. They also get to talk with him in person and on the phone. Just puzzling based on all that we know of him.

He seems like a good guy and I am glad that he did not end up at USC. Hopefully the coaches were not holding out on a few of the question marks for him and now we lost him. I wish him well.

My brother went to Oregon. It really is a good place if you are a high school kid. Very updated facilities and a fun city believe it or not (I lived in Eugene for 8 yrs before moving back to kalamazoo. Anyway my point is that if he wasn't going to be irish I am glad he is w/ UofO. I will admit I am starting to get very scared about the DT position. WE NEED DEPTH MAN. Guys get hurt in the trenches all the time. Plus it is nice to rotate once in a while and give a guy a breather with a guy who is fresh. I am sure CW is addressing this with his junior eval. For any computer guys out there I just passes my MCSA bye the way.

Wade's interest in USC has picked up and he was scheduled to be down at th USC Rising Senior camp but he didn't show. It was said with a good showing there, he probably could have gained a USC offer.
