Just caught the full Rivals AMP piece on Jimmy. Very, very nice guys. BTW, Arrelious Benn was in attendance to watch Jimmy at the 7-on-7 tourney and he had to come away impressed. Clausen was spot on all night. His footwork and accuracy are impeccable.

I think its wonderful that his great accuracy and footwork was pointed out. It shows that Clausen is more than just hype and is the real deal.

A couple of Westlake Village's games will be on TV this year. I'll be watching.

He looks BETTER than the last reel of highlights from his junior year.

I've got to say, if this kid gets the playbook and the logistics down, he'll be on the field fast. He's deadly accurate and has velocity.

I agree Jiggs it is pretty obvious that he is ND bound. If Benn, Hughes, Wilson, and Nuss all committ soon and we can get some other lineman (O and D) such as Mccray and James Wilson to committ as well this class will be stacked. Throw in a couple of solid db's and Chris Donald and it will be off the hook. Oh ya add Deonte Thompson for a little flair. I think he has the potential to set every wr record in the book as long as Benn doesn't steal a few from him. Better days are ahead of us fellas if that is possible. I haven't been this excited about ND football in a long time.

I would not sacrafice a spot on the defense to make room for another receiver. Maybe if they only take one back, but I'd much rather have two backs that 4 wideouts this go around.

I think if you take two backs and one of them is in the Allen/Tate/Jones mold, it gives you the option of using that speed guy as a receiver even if only part time.

Relating to the overused phrase thread, I can't stand the "next Reggie Bush" comparison that somebody added there. He was just too good. But there are guys that are Bush-like in their style and versatility, even if not quite as dominating.

I agree there probably isn't room for four receivers, but little could play anywhere. I don't think Charlie would pass up on little or thompson. They are both freaks of nature. But I understand your point we might need two backs more than four wideouts. That receiving corp would be freakin rediculous with those four though.

Why does everyone insist on 4 WR's. Are we all forgetting that Richard Jackson is a 4 star prospect, what about Barry Gallup, and Robbie Parris. These guys are quality receivers who can get the job done. Whoever ND picks up this year is just more icing on the cake. The WR stable is definitely filling up with good, fast guys, that can actually catch a pass, not just fade routes.

I know FSN passes a lot of local games. We get all the deLaSalle games in NorCal.

There are some on ESPN2 that I'm assuming are nationally televised. I saw a listing on their website some time ago. I'd check right now, but I can't log into espn.com at work. (its blocked, damned IT guys)

I remember watching on ESPN the deLaSalle - Long Beach Poly game back in 2001 when poly was #1 and DSL was #2. I was still in South Bend at that time and the game was shown there.

There is a schedule on ESPN.com somewhere. I would check it, but I can't get into espn.com at worked because it is blocked.

But if you go to a line for either "more sports" or "high school sports," it should be somewhere there.

Or maybe I saw it in USA Today. I'm not sure if there is any affiliation between USA today and ESPN.
