I've updated the headers and created some new ones as well. What do you think of the new imagery?

I think its look really great (although it looked great before) but it is getting much better. I have to admit that I looked the blue coloring much more, it seemed to be much easier on the eyes.

Blue is a more soothing color, however, every other Notre Dame site on the Internet use them. I like standing out. I implemented the lighter greens in this design to help combat that problem actually.

I really need to do a spell check, my post had so many typos.

But yea, your right. The green is just so out there, it just jumps out at you when you see it. It just seems to blend the entire screen.

The new header pics are awesome; the old ones were starting to get stale. ;) I also prefer blue over green, but the green certainly doesn't look bad either, and it does make the site stand out like you said.

All in all, I approve.

Like the new format....

Svoboda,

The two tone green title bars have a nice 3D effect. Gold would be nice for framing or background in certain columns. I tried to capture 'Gold' from helmets and the dome on other ND sites with ColorPic, but "Gold' is really a blending of at least half a dozen different shades. ColorPic's suggestion for these shades was an 'internet safe' gold with Red=255, Green=204 and Blue=153. As a stand alone script color it was blah, but when I tried it as a script color against a dark green (G=102,B=51), cool green (G=153,B=102) or navy (G=51,B=102), the script really stood out...Tom

This is the BC loss green........although a great color......just reminds me of the horrid TW green jersey decision. USC/Kelly green was the way it was supposed to be

Svoboda-

The headers are very nice, but I have to say that they are fairly meaningless. All of your site traffic comes because of the great posts. You could have headers that were 10 times better or worse and I still wouldn't notice them unless you asked.

Now, when you post a particularly juicy bit of news, that's the kind of stuff that people remember and come back for. And I should say that you (and many of the other posters around here) are doing a great job with that.

Jason,

When the header bars are collapsed, the 3D effect is very pronounced. Some posts suggest blue, but you are on the right track with a green theme. Some might be happy with a green that hints of blue.

Drk Green = #006633 (Grn=102, Blu=51)
Mdm Green = #009966 (Grn=153, Blu=102)
Lt Green = #00CC66 (Grn=204, Blu=102)

Did anyone notice the two tone header bars have a red component (secret Ohio St fan)?
