If you could pick one recruit, who has not commited anywhere yet, who would it be? I think I would pick Austin or Benn. Who would you pick?

Nooooooooooo question it's Austin. ND's largest (no pun) need right now. I think Benn is a lock.

I don't like Austin. He'll do something stupid one of these days. Say all you want about him being a 'good kid' and all... w/e, Mark Sanchez seemed like a 'good kid', too. I'd much rather have Barksdale.

If I could have one kid commit right now, I'd probably say Benn, but Martez Wilson isn't far behind.

Even though his character is in question it would have to be Marvin Austin. The guy is a pure force on the D-line

I agree Austin is the one we need the most, but personally I want Ben Martin the most, just so I can see all those OSU fans go crazy.

austin for sure it is the one position that ND might not have done as good as they wanted to in last years recruiting. i also believe benn really likes ND and will go there anyways (knock on wood)

We need a killer machine DT, that would be Austin. I however did not like the site SVO lead us to at all. I want kids that are going to represent Our Lady with honor, respect, and high morals...I did not see that at all on that site. That being said, I have also been reading some of the top posters on here at envy saying that most of those sites are pure fabrication anyway so who is to say... I'll take Barksdale... I want CW teaching football not baby sitting...

Any of the guys mentioned would be a good grab. We just need to swoop up the top flight guys like Benn who are really interested in coming to ND. Then we can work on guys like austin and the rest. Although I would agree that we do need a big DT, Benn is going to be a hell of a receiver. I don't think Austin is a bad kid. He seems pretty cool actually. Outspoken and confident in his ability. What the hell is wrong with that? Not to mention he is the best DT in the nation. If he truely has interest in ND get him in here.

I truly believe this, and despite the factors out there, we will be seeing Austin and Benn in Blue and Gold.

any of the players mention would be great. but I will say one that hasn't been mentioned just yet.

Myles Wade. If we would just offer this kid, I believe we would have our first DT commit of the year. He may not be Austin, but he's pretty darn good. If I remember correctly...He also has a nasty attitude. Once saying he wished they had a camp for top DT so he could prove..."who is the best."

Scout reports that Wade received an offer from Colorado coach Dan Hawkins after the combine this weekend.

That quote says it all for me. I hope CW offers him by the end of the week. He was pretty impressive at the combine from what they said.
