SOUTH BEND -- A company wants to buy and refurbish a Norfolk Southern rail line that runs through South Bend and use it for freight service, and perhaps eventually transport fans to University of Notre Dame football games. Officials with South Bend Railway said they hope to complete the deal by mid-August.
