Von Miller of Denver Broncos mum on ban, says he doesn't use pot - ESPN

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller offered no details about his pending four-game substance-abuse suspension but was adamant that he doesn't smoke marijuana.

The NFL is targeting mid-August as Miller's appeal, though it could be heard earlier, and a resolution to the case is expected before the regular season begins, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Though he wouldn't go into details of his case, Miller was asked if smoking marijuana was part of his life, and he answered, "Absolutely not."

It is unknown which substances Miller is accused of using. Under NFL policy, Miller would have to test positive for banned substances twice before facing a four-game suspension.

About the whole HGH/Roids topic for the NFL...the other day on the Dan Patrick Show they were talking about it and Dan wouldn't say a name but he said a few years ago he asked a NFL Starting QB how many players he though used HGH..the QB responded that he thought 60% of his OWN teammates used HGH...

Then he followed it up with a point on a concussions, if over half the league is juicing...imagine if they would stop, and the guys would start getting smaller and not be running 4.4's at 250lbs, that would be the best thing for the league to do for concussions

Here's a brief article basically saying what I just said

i think ndworld had a solid point yesterday about hgh testing. once the testing process is set in stone the use is only going to get worse or move on to some other drug.

Y! SPORTS

Expected to be sentenced to 6 game suspension today. Apparently will not appeal while trying to negotiate to have suspension reduced to 4 games instead.

Six games is crazy, wonder what the aggravated circumstances are that are leading to a lengthy suspension

lol, for average joe's like you and I the effect is probably minimal. But, for world-class athletes it's a different story. Based on my personal research, my hand-eye coordination is certainly not what it used to be.
Well I don't know if he was considered a "World Class Athelete (but in my book he was) when Ricky Willams was blazzing a joint or 3 he was rushing for damner 2000 yds a season when he was with the Saints/ "Phins, but once he stop using for the sake of the socalled
NFL image, he wasn't as effective, but as stated rules are rules ( well, for some people) and the leauge will deal with a player who breaks that rule................. I have no problem with that.
