Will ND have to choose between Ziemba and Miller?

Both are highly ranked OT's with ND at the top of their lists, but I doubt both would come knowing that Sam Young is already here or am I wrong?

How often are high school OTs moved to OG in college or vice versa? I know Miller is 6'8" and Ziemba is 6'7", so both guys seem too tall for OG, but in the event we had both of them and Young- three 5-star OTs, couldn't we move one of them to OG? I know this doesn't address Axl's original question, but I'm curious as to what would be feasible.

I've been pondering this Axl because I think they have a good shot at both, but if one of them commits first they'll probably lose the other.

I think Ryan Miller is a strong lean for ND right now. They seem to talk to him pretty frequently. Miller is also the first recruit I have heard mention that he talked to Coach Mendoza about strength and conditioning. This is a very good sign.

Ultimately, I think ND lands Miller and Ziemba goes elsewhere, but to have both would give ND some great depth at tackle. Once Ryan Harris leaves, both bookends are wide open in 2007. Whatever Duncan and Turkorich did this spring didn't set the world on fire. Sam Young is going to have an opportunity to show what he can do once practice starts.

why would ND have to choose between these two OTs, why not take both.

There is no reason they can't. ND is looking to take 2 or 3 tackles this time around. Both Miller and Ziemba are showing strong interest in ND. You never know.

I believe the thinking is that we may have turned off some potential prospects with our class last year. 5 star guys generally don't want to commit and sit.

If they only take one, Who would you want? I think I would take Miller.

Then again, we may be getting to that point as a program. Look at QB, and maybe WR. Weis is going to be piling up offensive talent because everyone looks at him and says, "He'll get me to the NFL." I could see ND having 5-star 3rd-stringers on offense.

That would be an absolutely wonderful luxury to have.

I don't think we will have 5 star guys on 3rd string. Thats a little over the top but our overall talent level is rising very quickly. We still have a ton of ground to make up to catch the schools who have been recruiting well for the last 5 years when we didn't. Although having that amount of talent would be pretty kick ass.
