They?re No. 2! Quinn, Irish picked second in mag?s preseason poll (Fort Wayne News-Sentinel)

Notre Dame football fans, don?t sweat it just because the Irish are not listed as the nation?s preseason No. 1 team (Oklahoma is) by Athlon Magazine. Instead, they?re No. 2, which should give coach Charlie Weis another motivational tool in their national championship quest.

i can't wait to see if we're #1 on one of the major polls. i was a little kid the last time we were on top at any point of the season. an undefeated season is an undefeated season no matter what you're ranked. i say bring on #1 and go coast to coast as national champs! imagine looking at the paper, espn.com, wherever you read sports and seeing ND at #1 week after week. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. be proud of a #1. not fearful.

isn't #1 what you expect and hope ND will reach every year? i have even in the last decade. dont expect disappointment. it ruins the joy of winning.
