This seriously sucks.

Paging Myles Wade.

I know DT's a bigger need, but I'd gladly trade them Barksdale for Martin. :)

Barksdale's participating in Ted Ginn Sr's bus trip this summer to all the camps. That alone gives me creepy buckeye vibes about him. The bucknuts feel pretty good about him and "insiders" are starting to talk in code about him like ND fans were talking about Clausen leading up to his commitment.

That's too bad. I'm amazed we'd lose him to Ohio State. Michigan I could understand, but OSU? Wow. Wonder how much Ginn Sr is paid a year by OSU?

much like svoboda I don't see ND landing Blackwell, Austin or Barksdale. It's unfortunate because we need a DT to come here and be able to contribute next year. I think Darrell Hand, Kuntz, Mullen will be ok if they have to play next year extensivly but we still need a star DT for the future.

Ginn Sr. is saint-like to them. To his credit, he works hard to get chances for his players and others in college. But the blue chippers that he deals with tend to go to OSU. The rest, he finds spots at MAC or DII schools.

Tressell is a good recruiter, but he may be the second best recruiter in state. One need look no further than Glenville HS to see who is the best.

Yes, and unfortunately, OSU can sell a lack of depth at DT this year just as we can.

Yeah, I actually like Ginn Sr. He has opened the doors for many a college prospect that may not get noticed otherwise. Despite his Buckeye-colored glasses, he is a good guy or at least comes off that way.

I also agree with your recruiting comments. It's amazing how he pulls people from out of state to play high school football. Just incredible.

Tedd Ginn Sr. lost all respect in my eyes when he used Chris Wells as a workhorse in the All-American game. I mean c'mon man, it's an all-star game, spread the wealth. I felt like I was watching the Chris Wells show.

I felt the same way, but knowing what we know now about Aldridge's knee, I'm glad he didn't get more carries.

Nobody is ever 100%mentally after a knee surgury. It is always in the back of your mind, but you can put it aside and still play like you did before the injury. Once you get knocked around a few times, the knee is an afterthought. As far as physically it can be done, but it takes a ton of work. I watched Aldrige play as a senior. He's a pretty tough kid, so I think he will be fine.

Based on what he's saying, no one is in more contact with Austin than Notre Dame. Vaas, Oliver and Weis are all over things.

If they're going to be chasing the best DT in the country, they're probably going to have to wait for them.
