I gotta believe mwinely that the assistants are out working the recruits just as hard as our beloved C-Dub. Would you want to be an assistant to Weis and be sitting on your hands at the same time that Charlie is out busting his a$$ trying to pick up the top guys? Guarantee that those coaches would be coaching little league soccer before Weis would allow them to roam the sidelines on game day with him.mwinely said:

Not to bring up the past but I remember after the Stanford game CW and all assistants took 5 different planes in all directions on the recruiting trail no rest. At Washington after they played their last game their head coach and staff took a two week break. Just shows the difference in mentality!

J Sapp over at BGI tells me that to his knowledge, the assistants are out doing the same but they're visiting more of the second tier guys while Weis is going after the big fish.

That sounds like a good approach - going after the second tier guys. I didn't explain my question real well. I was pretty confident those guys would be out, just didn't know who they were seeing. I've gotta believe that alot of these recruits probably have as good or better relationship with the assistants as they do with CW, and it probably is just as important knowing that the OL coach has a good reputation of being able to get his players to the NFL. We know CW does, but realistically, he won't be spending nearly as much time with the line as Latina - same goes for other position coaches.
