Offers and Verbals

Does anyone have any idea whether any new offers will be handed out this weekend? and will we receive any high profile verbals this weekend-or will we have to wait patiently?

All signs point to Clausen's verbal St. Kitts. Everyone is talking about it on nearly every web site you can think of and it seems to be the theory that he'll do it in front of all of the visitors in his class. Is Charlie pulling the strings on this strategic public relations move? We shall see what happens. I don't know how dramatic it will be, but I'm going to guess that by the time he leaves South Bend he will have publically verballed. I'm just going on what the professionals are saying.

Some grapevine rumors say Benn will too, but I think most are saying his verbal will come shortly after Clausens. It is all speculation at this point and we will have to wait and see.

As far as offers go, there are a few guys who will be there that don't have one yet, so anything is possible.

I would have thought-in a perfect world-Clausen would verbal before the game so he could actively recruit during the game.

Regardless of when it occurs, should it occur, it will be the biggest verbal Notre Dame has had in over ten years. Easily. And then, wherever he ends up and whenever it happens, Clausen will start recruiting the Tylers, Benns, Oglesbys and Ragones of the world.

Now, if Clausen commits at the Spring Game, will there be an announcement of some sort at the game itself? I did not think that they were able to do something like that, but was wondering if we would be able to find out before we left South Bend on Sunday.

i wouldn't put it past CW to have jimmy clausen commit to ND will standing on the 50 yardline of the B&G game.

His dad tells Pete Sampson at II that everyone shouldn't expect a commitment this weekend.

ND and Spoiled Children will battle it out for Clausen, but dad says Weis got there first and all Carroll is doing is saying the same things Weis has said from the beginning.
