Matt Romine, a 6-6 265 offensive tackle from Norman OK, received a call from Mike Haywood and was told to call Charlie Weis. Haywood texted Romine Weis' number so Romine could call Weis. Weis told him he had an offer. Great quote from the SoonerScoop.com:

"I can't lie I had to take a few minutes to get up the nerve to call him
."

Rivals is also showing Brandon Saine, a 6-0 200 running back with 4.3 speed from Piqua OH, as having an offer from ND.

Notre Dame is hot on the recruiting trail. About a third of the Rivals Pre Evaluation Top 100 already have offers.

Romine might be tough to get out of state and the same with Saine, but Saine would make me forget all about Marc Tyler staying in Los Angeles.

I'll tell you what, this guy is the top RB on my wish list as of right now.

If Tyler is as strong of a lean to UCLA or SC as they say, then ND might as well push hard for Saine with scUM and tOSU.

Saine won't be tough to get out of Ohio. But that's because he's a Michigan lean.

Saine is fast and he has power. Also, he can be a WR. This dude is sick.

He just needs to see Notre Dame's campus. CW, and ND's football players academic achievements and he'll come to ND. If he figures out Lloyd's coaching woes, he'll be a shoe in.

He can also figure that pigheaded stubborn Lloyd holds the reigns and likes to run the ball. As a running back, Michigan is always a great place to be.
