At this point, I would not be surprised if he took South Carolina or ND. I'm sure Spurrier's negativity and hatred toward Notre Dame motivated him in regards to Gray and if Gray chooses South Carolina, you had better believe Spurrier will market the decision to other recruits. And there is nothing wrong with that.

He's still a dick.

Except 4 superbowls (1 with Giants), a state championship in New Jersey I believe, and more games than Steve Spurrier did last year....(9 vs. 7). Oh, and that bowl game South Carolina lost to Michigan...ND beat that team too. Who knows...

charlie weis has 4 super bowl rings and steve spurrier pretty much got run out of the NFL because he couldn't coach.

Think he was speaking to anyone in particular?

He should probably start with Mark Barnes before even thinking about moving onto Jimmy Clausen.

I'd have to guess now that Mark Barnes won't be coming to ND. Then again, who knows at this point. These kids play the game pretty well. It was strange yesterday that the more I was reading and hearing, the less and less I believed Gray was coming to ND. Prior to the day of his announcement, they hooked me into thinking that he was considered a possibility when in reality, according to many, he was a Gamecock all along.

South Carolina lost to Missouri in their bowl game, I believe.

I simmered over this last night for a few hours, pondering a few things. I have an entirely new philosophy about recruiting, pay sites and the information they provide (moreso, how they present it, but more on that later). Maybe it was the Jack and Cokes or watching JJ Redick and Adam Morrison go thud.

Chris Galippo, Andre Jones and Gary Gray are all out. And all of them are tremendous defensive players. Kerry Neal and Aaron Nagel were out of nowhere verbals that are off the radar screen. Galippo claims Weis is still recruiting him...HARD...even though he verballed to Poodle on Signing Day.

I'm anxious to see ND get a high impact verbal soon, preferably on defense....the line, maybe. THIS class is more important than the incoming one.

What happened with that interview he was supposed to do? Did he do it or not? If so, what was said?
