Not sure how many of you have a SI subscription, but there is a good article in this weeks issue about college football coaches jumping from job to job to "better" their situation and how it has backfired on some.

Article makes mention of Gary Pinkel (Mizzou), Dennis Franchione (Texas A&M) and then finishes up with our favorite John L. Smith up at Michigan State.

Talks about how he level Louisville for "greener pastures" at MSU and is on the hot seat after failing to produce. He becomes the butt of a joke because they discuss how Louisville jumped from CUSA to the Big East, which in turn would have been perfect from him.

Anywho, all in all it was an interesting read.

Franchione....a real carpet bagger.

He is going to have to settle for silver, maybe even bronze (Tech, TCU) in his own STATE.

Horns are king right now and don't appear to be going anywhere for a while. There is plenty of talent to go around in Texas, but Mack Brown is getting the very best of the best and D Fran is getting whatever Mack leaves behind.
