Man I hate Ohio State

I know this doesn't have much to do with recruiting specifically, but all this talk about the battles that ND and OSU are going to have just really makes me realize how much I hate OSU. I just wanted to let everyone know this, if anyone backs me, let me know. GO IRISH!!!

There's talk of adding another two year series with them somewhere down the road again, just like in 95 and 96.

i lived in Parma, Ohio for about 28 years, and I agree. I HATE the OSU BUCKEYES WITH EVERY FIBER IN MY BEING. My least favorite team in all of sports. Not only do they schedule 3-4 GUARANTEE wins a season, Their students/ fanbase are cracked.

They beat Michigan = they tip over cars, burn couches, riots, police, damage

i hate Michigan the most, osu comes in a close second even though we don't play them regularly. That program is so dirty it disgusts me.

Mostly for the obvious reasons, but a little bit extra because my X's family is from NE Ohio, near Youngstown State, breeding ground of Cheaty McSweatervest.

Sounds like an Auburn-Alabama marriage. I remember seeing a report that a high percentage of divorces in Alabama involve Tide and War Eagle marriages.

Michigan is a proximity thing for me more than anything. USC just makes me sick for so many different reasons. I'm not much of a fan of the West Coast. Strange peeps out there.

I'm with you guys, but USC and Michigan are still higher up there for me. My Ohio St. disdain comes from living here in the Nati and dealing with their fans. One of my better friends, an OSU alumnus, is pretty honest about them having a higher "idiot quotient" than most fan bases.

To be fair, they have some great fans as well. It's just that many don't think they play football anywhere outside of Ohio.

I don't dislike the players as much, though (except the criminal ones.) Most of them are Ohio kids and I like to see locals doing well.

Your surroundings would definitely have an effect. I have no major rivals or even major programs here in NM, so I can be somewhat subjective in determining who I hate. But to answer your question, if I grew up in Ohio, I would almost certainly hate the Buckeyes more than anyone.

oh, Good Lord Albuquerque. It was horrible. The bandwagon Buckeye fan were great in number where I lived. Living in NE Ohio, it was tough because the Tribe sucks, Browns suck, Cavs, suck, so when the Buckeyes went to the NC game, everybody started to don the Buckeye garb and claim to be a long time supporter. What ever. You have nothing else to cheer for so you decided to go to Wal MArt and picked up a $4.00 Buckeye shirt for yourself so that you didn't look like the only moron at your friends lame ass NC game party that wasn't wearing red and silver. Ridiculous. God, this is making me angry just to talk about it. I HATE THE BUCKEYES!!!!

Wow! I have to say I can't relate. But I think I am beginning to understand. I absolutely hate bandwagon fans and there's no real proof to call someone out when they're nothing but bandwagon fans. I'm a little fearful that we may have to deal with this soon as Irish fans.

Albuquerque, when we win the NC, I don't care if the Poodle himself goes on national television and says how he has always been a huge Notre Dame fan. If we win it all, people can say what they want. You and I were there during the Good and the BAD.

To me Boston College is totally irrelevant, they don't get the honor of being one of my most hated teams because they're just irrelevant to me. Same with Purdue. I can't take either school or their fan bases seriously.

When I go to a Michigan, OSU, or USC board and see threads bad mouthing ND it pisses me off, but when I go to a BC or Purdue board and see a thread badmouthing ND(which is usually 90 percent of the threads) I just laugh.

I usually ask co-workers if they watched every Longhorn game this year and they say hell yeah. Then I ask them didn't I remember you saying you had to do such and such on that Saturday? "Oh that's right I did miss that one..."

That's what those of us in SoCal had to put up with regarding USC for the last couple of years. I went to a couple of USC games in the lates 90s to stadiums that were less than half full. I would ask some of my USC friends why they didn't go to the games and support their team, and there response was "there's too much to do in LA." And now!!!! Even my roomate when I was undergrad in San Diego claimed to be the biggest UCLA fan. And then, when I came back to San Diego from Indiana, the first thing he tells me is "so how do you like my trojans." !?!?!??!!? I can't wait for this SC bandwagon to die, then all these southern californians can go back to caring about nothing but the Lakers and leaving the Coliseum more than half empty come saturday.

So while I can't say that I hate USC the most, I can definitely say that I hate the USC bandwagon the most! Just try asking some of them who the coach at SC was before Pete Carrol. They'll all say it was John Robinson. Which is the wrong answer, of course.

Sorry, I've been wanting to vent on this one for a long time.

(It just makes sense, the stronger the opponent you defeat, the greater the victory.)

Not to be too philosophical, but in an odd way SC is ND's evil alter ego, our Darth Vader.
