They currently have commitments from 11 of Scout's top 100 rated players. No other school has more than 7 (Florida). It all adds up to bad news for those who predicted (or wishfully thought) that the Rose Bowl defeat and eventual departures of Leinhart, Bush, White and others would slow the momentum of the USC program.

hehe, sorry, I couldn't help myself....

Has a four star QB, WR and DT. Not much else.

jiggafini19 said:REALLY?! That's huge news.
Good for Ty.

jiggafini19 said:Depending on who goes where, SC could be in danger of having a fair to mid level class in terms of numbers.
They're going to need a lot of good news in the next week and could end up getting it. I still think they get four or five more guys tops.
weisfaninmass said:Four or Five more recruits - landed on Feb 1 - will make a big splash with the media. For right or wrong, it will dwarf some of the early commits that ND has. And there will be no final day big impact commit for ND so the final momentum - IN THE MEDIA's EYES - will be what a great job Pete did.
I just hope/pray that we don't lose anyone on Feb 1 bc that will be front page SI once again.

"I look at this process like a business because that's what it really is," Dexter said. "USC is all business. I call Pete Carroll a shark because that's how he is. It's not a bad thing because in the NFL and in business you deal with sharks and sharks have that killer instinct you need. Vidal is a shark himself. Penn State is more about recruiting the family and I know Joe Paterno would take care of Vidal after football by helping him get a job or whatever. I don't get that feel from USC.
What are you talking about. USC has so much to offer for a football alumnus:jiggafini19 said:Dexter Hazelton's comments do not shock me, not only about USC but about Penn State and Joe Paterno.
More parents need to realize this. USC doesn't offer much for life after or without football. Carroll uses his players as means to an end.
