Anyone see the WKU interim coach pregame speech? Talk about hyped! We're the bully we're the bad a$$ on the hill!

I'm sure it wasn't meaningless to the kids on a team that has never won a bowl game. If I was that QB, regardless of the faith that the coach put in me, I would have said we need to go for the FG and then try to win this game, not go for a 4th and 3-4 to probably end up kicking a field goal anyway.

Horrible call by the coach. No bowl is meaningless to the players. To me this is a selfish move by the interim coach who is looking for a spot on next year's staff. I hope he doesn't get one. This was just plain atrocious coaching.

Actually this is wrong, the coach went to his seniors on the sideline and asked them what they wanted to do and they (unsurprisingly) chose to go for it. So if you were QB you may have wanted to kick the FG, but the WKU QB and other seniors chose to go for it. The call may not have been the right one, but it wasn't made by a selfish coach that was not concerned with what his players wanted.
