Pay special attention to coaches in the SEC and Pac 10. Nope, no bias and attempted screwjob at all to get you bogus teams ranked higher. Asshats.

That motherf*%ker Tom O'Brien is in for a WORLD of pain when those bastards get back on the schedule. 11? 13? Man, that just really fires me up.

Temple should drop football.

Yeah, Temple has absolutely no business voting on a poll or any kind... not even what is going to be served at lunch, fries or tater tots.

I can't wait for Boston College again.

Nothing less than an ass beating will do. PERIOD.

Between Spurrier and O'Brien, I dion't know who's worse! Yes, I do--O'Brien, with Spurrier running a very close second.

those two are pretty comical. what's with the a$$wipe from Temple ranking us 13th. I mean did they win a game this year? No, correction.....did they even come within 28 points of winning a game? He should not be allowed to rank any teams. We'd smoke Temple by 60 if Charlie kept the floodgates open. He's got to be a former SEC assistant. He has 4 SEC teams in the Top 12 with Auburn, Georgia, and LSU ranked 5,6,and 7 respectively. Alabama is ranked 12th ahead of ND. How is Auburn ahead of LSU when LSU beat them just a couple of weeks ago? This is a joke. How can they take the coaches poll seriously when this is going on?

That @sshole Bobby Wallace resigned in the middle of the season.

Temple offered the job to Golden from Virginia, who Weis tried to get as a defensive coordinator before Minter.

Just another reason for an 8 or 16 team playoff, don't you think???

Yes. This is a key component used in determining BCS bids and it clear that many of these coaches don't rank teams objectively. Many of them rank them according to their own biases. It's ridiculous. Let's not just concentrate on the coaches who clearly had an agenda, against ND and any team that's not theirs, but let's look at Dennis Franchione who had ND ranked 3rd ahead of Penn State. Now I'd be hard-pressed to believe that ND had a better year than PSU. He had OSU 9th and Miami 5th. I'm sorry but 5th placed teams don't blow games to Georgia Tech when a BCS bid is on the line. Those are really not that bad and by the way.....Thanks Dennis! We appreciate the love. However, this is what we use to determine who plays in the BCS games? This is a travesty.

Hell, Temple offered me the job two months ago, but I opted to coach my 9 year old's hoops squad because they'll be more competitive.

I thought the most interesting was Willingham. #9

Well Willingham just went along with the Pac 10 company line... would you figure him to do anything else besides blend in?

Just shows you that:

A. Spurrier is still hurting from the Sugar Bowl loss to Lou Holtz and Bettis.
B. That he and the coaching franternity in the SEC and PAC 10 are very worried about the momentum ND is getting.

We should probably tip our cap to Walt Harris. I'm sure he was pressured by the Pac 10 to rank ND low and Oregon high, but he turned in a relatively objective Top 25. So there's at least one coach out there who can regognize AND rank talent without a conference bias influencing his decision.

I wonder what Poodle Pete would have ranked us?

My $h*t list

My $h*t list

Tiller - Didn't he watch the beatdown ND gave his team in his own stadium.

Coker - Ranking his own team 4th takes real balls after losing Ga Tech. Maybe if your D Backs spent more time covering Calvin Johnson and less time rapping about gang rape you could have won. ND players leave school with a diploma, Miami players leave school with a Rap Sheet (if they didn't arrive with one already)

Spurrier - Jealous his NFL tenure wasn't as successful as CW.

O'Brien - To steal a thought from someone else's website - BC will always be Smithers ND will always be Mr. Burns.

And last but not least...
Willingham - F him forever! Drop Army from the schedule and add Washington in '06 and give his piss poor team another a$$kicking. Come on Ty you know ND is better than #9. It makes you look petty.

Having expelled all that venom I need to return to the Christmas mood and hand out some love - John L. Smith, Walt Harris, Phil Fulmer your on Santa's nice list.

As for Weis ranking ND #4 - He'll hear a little griping but what other choice did he have? How does he convince his team they are better than OSU if he has them ranked lower.

Want to see the bias in the south, check out who supports the south and how they treated Notre Dame.
What the F@ck!! Charlie should go down there and take all of thier best athletes!!
Mike Grace is suspect!

Don't worry, Leppy.

It's already happening.

SELECTing, not recruiting.

I just think it's interesting that Notre Dame is anywhere from 3rd to 14th. That's such a broad range.
That's why we need to f'ing beat Michigan State next time. You lose a game like that, you practically gift-wrap an excuse for the ND-haters to vote us down.

Interesting - the Rocket has Oregon as #11. :)

Yes, but I'd also take every single team he ranked ahead of them in a head-to-head matchup, too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Obrien and Spurrier olympic judges for East Germany back in the 70's?
