Well, certainly in the short term it has been.
However, Pitt has a monster recruiting class coming in next season.It will be interesting to see how Wannstedt does with some players who should fit into this offensive scheme.

Playing not to lose???
It appeared that charlie was playing NOT to lose the game instead of kicking butt. For instance the 2nd play of the game is an 84 yard touchdown. And when it's on the line we go 80 yards in 51 seconds and no time outs. Pretty impressive drives. Sometimes I think Charlie plays mind games with the play calling to keep the kids focused. If he does, that's dangerous. But yesterday he allowed SU to stay in the game too long. But the talent and spirit of ND won out.

Since when do we have charles woodson and champ bailey at CB?? Why are'nt our safties ever there to help out on long passes?? Seriously Rick, cover 2 man is the best defense for this team. You still get to blitz alot because your man on the outside , but you have 2 safties over the top to help out.

I just can't agree with Minter's scheming, at least not with this group of 11.
Safeties need to play deep and prevent the big play. Our guys have been tight all year long and I can't understand why.
