Of course he is, why would anyone think different?

Still working through sanctions...who would take the job?

This was my point in saying Kiffin gets a bad rap. Who else wins 70% of their games, recruits at a high level. With only 15 Schollies per yer?

Some of the newer posters here have no idea what is going on beyond what is happening TODAY...

Charlie Weis showed that you can still recruit to ND and paved the way for Brian Kelley to have success now.

Kiffin is at worst a high level recruiter who is piloting a program through major oppressive sanctions.

As a Tennessee resident, I have seen the difference between Kiffin and a Derek Dooley level coach. Personal stuff aside I still say that Kiffin is a solid coach.

Not Saban or Urban...But better than 75-80% of the other coaches out there. Sure as hell better than Willingham or Davie.

That has to be some of the worst play calling/clock management I've seen in a while.

Seriously, two pass interference calls in a row and you STOP throwing the fade? With 5 minutes left down by 2 scores? Did he even watch any game film??? You don't run it up the middle from the 2 yard line on this team.

He can recruit great players but he has failed to turn that team into winners.

Part of me wants him to stay and take USC down the tubes with him, another part of me want's him fired, looking like a failure and a fool.

Did that look like a poorly coached team? I'd say that was the best team we played all year. With a healthy Barkley, we might have lost.

The mob mentality that has taken route here just plain sucks.

Use your heads and think beyond what the guy before you posts.

Yeah, they always play lights out vs ND, but yeah, 5-4 in Pac-12 play? What a hero! They played well, seemed fired up for once, but they did have their arch rival (an undefeated #1 BCS) at home. If you can't get fired up for that, why bother even playing?! Kiffin sucks and I dread the day USC fires him. We are 2-1 vs him.

Crazy great talent. Depth and coaching has killed them this year. Barkley being out had a bit to do with performance, but Max did put some good throws up which the WRs didn't convert.

Do the USC Trojans deserve better than Kiffin? - ESPN Los Angeles

"After USC's 22-13 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday, it was so loud in the room it was hard to hear Kiffin speak. The thin walls separating the visiting locker room and the media room were no match for Notre Dame's singing, chanting and dancing after the game.

It was a seemingly nonstop celebration throughout Kiffin's news conference."

======

"Kiffin has shown time and time again this season that he is not a great coach.

The numbers certainly bear that out over the course of his career as a head coach. He is now 37-32 as a head coach with the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers and USC. He is the first USC coach since Paul Hackett to lose at least five games in two of his first three seasons and the first since Larry Smith 20 years ago to lose his first two home games against Notre Dame.

It's one thing to fall short of the national championship at USC, but it's quite another to lose to UCLA and Notre Dame. USC hasn't done that in the same season since 1995."
