ND got jumped in the Coaches Poll by VT by a total of 3 votes. Although staying at #7, ND got 41 more points than last week. That doesn't seem significant except ND picks up .027 percentage points in the BCS computations. For the Coaches Poll ND's 1165 points divided by 1550 (max points in Coaches Poll) equals .752. Last week ND was at .725.

So ND actually picked up some support in the Coaches Poll.

Sagarin's current poll 11/12/05 has ND ranked #12 in his BCS rankings (ELO CHESS - No Margin of Victory) that's up 2 slots from last week's #14 and 5 slots from #19, two weeks ago.

Sagarin has more faith in his PREDICTOR model (includes Margin of Victory) which has still has ND ranked #5. The RATING model on Sagarin's site is a synthesis of ELO CHESS and PREDICATOR and places ND at #7, up one spot.

Sagarin ranks ND's schedule the 8th toughest based on team interplay that's down 1 slot from last week.

The Notre Dame fan in me says they are getting screwed, but the pragmatist in my says that I don't think that Alabama should have dropped below them. Before I get flamed, think ND lost to USC no problem there their last 32 opponents have but they did lose to a bad Michigan State team, and Alabama only lost to LSU in a fantastic game last night.

i was surprised to see bama drop behind us, they lost in OT to the 5th ranked team in the country. If you're going to lose its best to lose early in the season.

Everyone has been waiting to drop them when they lose because they don't score a lot on offense.

SEC is the best conference in America. After this weekend, I'm convinced of it. SC would not have a 32 game win streak in this league.

Yea, but Michigan St. was a good team early on in the season, but for some reason, they have quit and taken their season as a whole, they're awful. But, that Spartan team we played early in the year was a great offensive team.

They were good because they played teams well below their caliber, though they were D-IA.

They can't beat Michigan, they can't beat Ohio State and Northwestern gave them the mother of all beatings.

ND should have won this game.

And it will take a miracle to upset PS on Saturday
