Walls trying to close the sale!

I thought this was an interesting comment that was posted on B&G in a catch up article with D. Walls.

"Out of all the recruits my impression was that some of the top players in the country will be coming and that this will finish off to be a great class,” Walls said. “I told Gerald McCoy and Toryan Smith that if they came to ND, we would have top defense in the 2006 class.”

The way things stand now, ND is going to need them. I see Walls and McNeil competing for CB time right away. No doubt McCoy and the linebacker trio of Richardson, Smith and Lewis could too. Butch Lewis? He's in there too.

I really like what Walls is trying to do. It's tried and true, but they say Defense wins championships.
