No they just aren't that good of a team. Thats about all there is to say about that. ND is not getting any help from their opponents this season, will hurt there chances at a big bowl.

If ND wins out they will be almost assured a BCS berth. They only need to get to 12 in the BCS (currently 16). Their low rank is because of the computer polls. They are unranked in some of this nitwits computers. ND only needs a little love from the computer geeks to raise their ranking. They will climb in the Harris and Coaches' as well.

Texas Tech getting hammered helps alot. I see TT dropping out of Top 10 maybe to Top 15. Losses are huge in the computer polls.

yeah, they should definetely move up this week w/ Tech losing so bad. Texas will probly have narrowed the gap between them and USC a little more w/ that win too.

ND is "unranked in some of this nitwits computers" because that's how the BCS wants it.

"Texas Tech getting hammered helps a lot" only because of the loss not because of the score. The BCS took margin of victory away. TT's loss by 35 points is not significantly different than Auburn's loss by 3 points in OT they're both "L"s according to BCS directives to the computer gurus.

The irony is that poll voters can raise or lower depending upon MOV, OT, etc.

It's the BCS not the computers.

Don't worry folks, there is nothing that we can do about it. These other teams have lots of time to eat each others young in the confrence schedule, so ND should do fine. If ND is high enough in the BCS rankings does anyone really think that they won't pick them to go to one of the games? They have a reputation as a team that travels and that is what they look for after records. Plus, I will say this don't count on USC winning out, they still have a tough game against UCLA, they are #8 and you never know in those rivaly games as we well know.

UCLA has a very good chance against the Spoiled Children. The Bruin defense leaves a lot to be desired, but there is no reason why they can't win that game. Mercedes Lewis and Maurice Drew are gems. Drew was part of the great DeLasalle HS tradition with Derrick Landri. He's 5-7, but plays big.

I can see UM losing to Northwestern and Ohio State easily. Like Purdue in 2004, it appears ND caught MSU at their peak and now they're toast. I still like Louisville and WVU to beat Pitt. The only Big Ten team worse than Purdue is Illinois. UW...say no more.

ND needs to simply beat who they play. I don't think Tennessee is very good, but it will be the best D the Irish have seen all year.
