Nick "THE SAINT" Saban just cares about player's safety

I never understood why fans of other teams come on this board anyway.

What brings a Florida fan to a Notre Dame board, anyway? That'd be like one of us going to a...I don't know...Louisville board. There is no rivalry or history between the two. Just seems odd.

No I am not missing his point I just think it is misguided and question why does he even care.
There is no reason Florida should leave the state for an OCC game from Florida's perspective and that is not going to change.

You southern teams pad home games and refuse to play out of your comfort zone. I understand staying at home means more money, but come on. Beat up on FCS teams at home. Play some Sun Belt teams (which backfired for Arkansas) while never changing time zones, never seeing different weather is weak. Many people bash the B1G and the lack of speed, but I would love to see Florida play in the Big House in November. It is a simple case of getting out of the South to prove you can play anywhere.

If he is a troll, would you not agree he is doing a wonderful job as there are like 5+ arguing about Florida faking schedule. Like telling some random gator fan is going to get it changed. Come on guys it is not worth it.

If you ever got Florida to leave the state it would most definitely not be in November during the heart of the SEC scheduled and the winter. I get where people are coming from but I also get where the administration is coming from and understand nothing is going to change. People cant honestly look at Florida's scheduled and think its easy. I do think that teams like Alabama Florida LSU Georgia USC are built for games cold weather games but yes we will never see it.

So Florida doesn't care about playing the best?

And there it is as you said. Afraid to play in the cold. That is what these great SEC schools are. Plain and simple. I will never knock the talent in the SEC, well the elite teams in the SEC at least, but I want them to prove they can take a hit in weather below 50 degrees.

I knew you would pick that point out. We both know it has more to due with revenue than anything else. But say they are scared to play in the cold so what. Its not going to change. Its really not worth arguing over. I actually think the original reason for the thread is a much more interesting topic. I do understand where you are coming from though.

Check again.

And it's Mississippi.

[btw, I agree with your general point]

Dyslexia rears its ugly head again, or perhaps it was a Freudian slip. "Southern" and "State" are oxymorons anyway.
I wonder if there is anybody else I can slander today. I hope Miami!

If Saban is so worried about player safety, then why is he scheduling completely inferior FCS and mid-major opponents in Western Carolina, North Texas, Kent State, Florida International, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, and Chattanooga.....What about the safety of the player's on those teams that have to go up against your minor-league football team?

Fortunately, if the playoff selection committee has ANY stones at all, this won't be an issue come 2014. If the SEC continues to refuse to play real OOC games (with notable exceptions of course), I hope to see uproar across the south when an unproven SEC team is left out of the playoff in favor of a team who played a real OOC schedule. Otherwise its just the BCS as usual.

We all know this won't happen. Until someone knocks off the SEC champ in the NC game, they're always going to get the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully Oregon or, and I hate to say this, FSU, can get it done this year. Tired of watching and hearing about the SEC.

^ Agreed, If ND, god-forbid, loses a game (knock on wood) and doesnt make it to the NC game, I will be rooting for Oregon as if I was an Oregon fan! Fvck the overrated SEC and their cheating ways.

Fvck Nick Saban and his whining like a baby over useless things.
