I actually have a whole Saturday off. I mean I am a college student working part-time (but full-time hours) and I usually work from 8 till around 1 on Saturday's, and I took this Saturday off just for this game. Just wondering what some good fun would be to make this game special. I'm thinking a little College Gameday, then watch the Buckeyes get beat AGAIN by MSU, and grilling out with some brauts and having some cold one's getting ready for the big showdown. And of course you need good music to go along with the grill. So tell me, what is everyone's favorite gameday "preparations" around the house and your local area before big gam'e such as this one?

7a.m.- Wake up, walk downstairs, tap the PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY poster in the living room.

7:15a.m.- Watch Rudy with my son, Trevor (who is a huge Brady Quinn fan and just received an autographed 8 x 10 Brady Quinn picture from a friend in South Bend).

10:00a.m.- Shower up and put on my green #10 ND jersey.

10:30 - 11:30 a.m.- College Game Day, Get the snacks going, Fire up the first (of many) chillies.

12:00 p.m.- Play the ND Fight Song several times. Listen to HERE COME THE IRISH as well as the RUDY soundtrack.

12:30 p.m.- Friends arrive (people who I have converted into ND Fanatics after taking them to several games the past several years (they were huge Maryland fans and don't even follow them anymore). They help me kill the case of chillies.

7:00 p.m.- Pass out with a big smile on my face (after a victory). I expect that this weekend will be no different!!

GO IRISH!!!!

My good luck charm is having Fried Baloney on game day (I used to do this during the Holtrz era but re-introduced it this year.). This year the Irish are 4-0 when i have this for lunch on gameday.....only loss was when i was at the game tailgaiting in Joyce North against MSU and had brats instead.....this week I am bringing a FB sandwich with me to the game -- will have to cook it Thursday night and bring it with me as i travel out to the game.

hey, on that note, anyone know where the Gameday crew is gonna be on Saturday? I'd think South Bend would be an attractive place considering all the hype this game's getting.

The GameDay set was put up last night (weds) by "HomeDepot" by Touchdown Jesus. Much of Sportscenter is going to broadcast from this location.....Point of Note: the initial Gameday was done for the ND - Florida State game in 1993.

My Saturday preparations will include picking up the cake, wrapping a couple presents and blowing up a few balloons for my son's first birthday party. Oh, and making sure every television in the house is in working order so no matter where I am, the game will always be in view. Not to mention moving the X-Box to a smaller TV in the playroom since I will not be able to keep my nephews off of it. I'll be darned if they get the bigger TV for it.
