I keep watching the replay over and over. I may be a Domer Homer, but I think both players have a piece of that ball at the top of the jump. While Golden's position may not look as strong, I think it's a 50/50 proposition as they are falling to the ground. As ND fans we all know how strong Tate's hands are, just because the DB has the ball up against his chest doesn't mean the receiver doesn't have a vice grip on the ball when they hit the ground.

Argue the other blown calls in the game or the blatant push-off to even have a chance to make that catch, but I don't think the big boy refs would have had any easier of a time with that call.
