Offensively: This may be the best team we have played thus far. They racked up 49 on Kent State and 42 on Hawaii. MSU has the #1 ranked offense in the country so far. Drew Stanton will look to test the ND secondary and also has the quicks to make some nice plays with his feet. Look for MSU to score some points. Probably in the 17-28 range. This team has too many weapons to keep off the scoreboard. ND will have to slow them down or get in a shoot out.

Defense: This is where MSU gets shaky. UM D was far better than what MSU has. They are suspetible to the run. Look for Walker to have another 100+ on the ground. ND offense should be able to score as well. This has the makings for a high scoring affair. Quinn just simply has to play like he has the 1st 2 games, limiting mistakes.

Prediciton:
The Irish are 9-2 in home games when I am in attendance. I look for 10-2 after Sat.

If their run defense is so bad I hope we see a good combo of Walker, RPN and Schwapp. Maybe all three could have a 100 yd game. The overall MO of MSU seems very similar to UM so wouldn't be suprised to see the game played in a similar fashion, especially on defense

i'm actually encouraged by the fact that MSU has played a couple of powderpuff teams. it's given them an undeserved (at least for now) sense of confidence of their abilities, and i get the sense that they'll be walking into ND stadium not realizing that our defensive/offensive lines do not resemble the lines they've been pushing around for the last two games. from that perspective, we might just take them by surprise.

hopefully, by the time weis is finished with them, they'll feel like they've been f$cked by a train.

Also, they gave up over 300 yards to both of these creampuffs. If either of those teams had a running game, MSU would have been in trouble.

I think we win easily, but MSU always seems to play well against us. Time to buck the trend.

Hawaii is a joke, they may be one of the worst teams in college football. Don't be too impressed with MSU. I think they're a quality team, but this is a game ND should win.

If running the ball works out well for ND, I'd run the ball alot with walker and RPN, and keep that MSU offense off the field.
