3 Safeties In Town for MSU

Brown, Gaines and Gordon will all be at the Michigan State game for an official visit. All three are safeties and all three have offers.

Brown would be another Chicago area recruit under Weis' belt. Gaines has a sister that plays hoops for the Irish. Gordon's comments on ND were posted in a thread by me yesterday.

It appears ND could have all three of these guys.

For some reason I always feel more nervous about this game. I think it is because I think we should kick their ass most of the time but it is very rarely a blow-out.

I'm going to venture to say that Brown is the best of the trio.

All three have offers, so if all three accept...

This game SHOULD worry everyone. 4 wins in a row by MSU in South Bend? Sickening.

Having all three would not be an issue. Brown's versatility could put him in other positions on offense and special teams. Gaines is a hard hitter and Gordon is very intelligent. Kind of an interesting group.

MOST CERTAINLY more nervous, however, I think CDub is doing EVERYTHING right to temper any of the players outsized enthusiam, by reminding them about the recent 'dominance' of MSU, esp. at ND. If I was playing that would get me very motivated to focus on this game and esp. MSU.

Add OT/DT Alex Stadler of Virginia, OG Chris Stewart of Texas and TE Will Yeatman of California to this list. Stalder and Stewart are four star offensive linemen. Would provide quality to the class along with Bartley Webb.

It appears that Michigan State and USC are the biggest official visit dates for ND. The USC game includes:

Darrin Walls, Richard Jackson, Matt Carfuel, Terrance Austin, Butch Lewis, Daron Rose and Toryan Smith.

we need to focus in on the OL recruits, biggest area of need I think.

the USC game is so important, thats 7 big time recruits. I don't think we have to win necessarily but we have to play them tough and keep the score close.

I concur on both counts. But hopefully they win the SC game...and the three before it.
