I am going to ask again, where is Matt Shelton tonight? How can a guy that made so many big plays last year not be on the field at all?

Well it was a win and we could have punched it in there at the end, Weis will correct the small mistakes and this team will actually be BETTER next week, GO IRISH BEAT WOLVERINES!

The defense will have to be better next week at the big house, but with this offense they will be deadly, it is just the defense has to get better. I don't want this to be a team that has to score 42 to win, just one that does it just for fun and good measure.

Alert: Those of you who get ESPNEWS, post game press conference coming up shortly.

Yeah the team will be better every week I think. I thought the defense played pretty well for the lack of experience it has. Palko certainly didn't have nearly the same looks as he had last year. And while we still need to improve greatly on D I can see a good core there, that now has a bit more confidence.

And again, I think they will take this game watch the film and learn from their mistakes.

GO IRISH!!!

this blowout still wont shut up all the critics, but f*ck them all! mark may is a douchebag, and corso predicting we start out 0-6 just shows why he sucked as a football coach. Ty lost and showed he is still incompetent as a coach and Weis brought down the thunder we have been waiting for! GO IRISH!!!!! HAHAHA!!! IM RICK JAMES BITCH!!!!

It wasn't perfect, but it was a nice win. But ND did put up more points on a good Pitt team on the road, then Michigan did at home against Northern Illinois. I really feel good about the game next week.

So who's ready to hear tomorrow how Pitt really wasn't that good a team and this win doesn't mean anything? C'mon, you know its gonna happen, I can hear what they'll all be saying now..."Pitt got blown out in the Fiesta Bowl by Utah, a non-BCS team last year" "They only made it there in the first place b/c the play in the Big Least" "Wanny's really not that great a coach" "Palko was never a serious Heisman threat" blah blah blah. While I do personally agree with every statement I just made, NO ONE on ESPN or much anywhere else was saying that before tonight. All I heard was how Tony Dorsett is back for the game, and Wanny's such a big thing in Pittsburgh, and how Palko's gonna light up the Notre Dame secondary, etc etc up until now. Won't be hearing any of that tomorrow though....All of a sudden everyone and their brother will be saying how they "knew" Pitt wasn't that good to begin with...

Quinn, Walker, Fasano, McKnight, O-Line....awesome.

Defense bent in the beginning, didn't break, then denied them.

How many guys did Pitt have taken off the field with injuries? 5, 6? NASTY, BABY!!

Now is the time to prep for the OUThouse. ND will score, but can their D give up less than the magic number? We shall see. UM has offensive talent, but I think Weis can keep them off the field.

Great start!!
