Time to watch the second half. The best thing about Weis is that he knows how to finish a team off. Don't be surpised if the offense hangs another 20 on 'em. And ND gets the ball to start the half.

While I know it isn't very gentlemanly, does anyone else want to see Notre Dame come out and hang 35 more on Pitt just to send a message?

I would love if they took a page out of the Spurrier handbook and hang a hundred on them, just to send a message that you can't forget about Notre Dame this year.

Well, one of my biggest fears is we come out complacent and let Pitt get back into it, then we take that over to the next game. I'd like to see a 60+ point game and give the boys a good ego going into the Michigan game.

Well, looks like prevent isn't in Charlies vocab. LOVE IT!

Also, did you see the graphic that this was the 1st 35 point half since we hung 35 on Rutgers back in 1996. 19 freaking 96!

Indeed. Notre Dame has a history of playing nice and easing off the gas pedal in blowout games, because that's the nice and gentlemanly thing to do. But nobody... NOBODY returns the favor, whether it's opposing coaches or wannabe commentators like Lee Corso.

Put the pedal to the metal, C-Dub. Kick the Panthers into the next area code. Payback's a bitch.

It looks like that Pitt is just given up. Although as I type this the refs just called a bullshit PF on LeVoir. He was engaged with his man when they went out of bounds, let it go.

Which is exactly what LeVoir failed to do. He shoved him down to the ground a good 3 yards out of bounds. Nasty is one thing. Stupid is another thing entirely.

Speaking of stupid, Pitt just returned the favor. First down Irish. Thanks, dudes!

I agree. He should have just let it go... thankfully HB Blades did us a favor in return.

Think Powers-Neal is waving a big finger to Ty? Thanks for the opportunity, asshat. Powers-Neal is looking like he is going to be a big force this year as he is brusing those Pitt linebackers.

I can see him in a Sam Gash, Keith Byers type player in the old Parcells system that Weis was a part of.

This is the greatest thing I've seen in years. As great as the wins against Michigan and Tennessee were last year, it is just so great to see the Irish romping over a team in Charlie's first game after all the criticism from last year....

This is the most impressive win I have seen in maybe a decade. I think everyone on the field tonight is point and laughing at Ty right now!

The D-line to me seems not to be able to get enough pressure with just 4 guys, something that we need to correct before Michigan and USC.

Palko is losing it, he is totally rattled. He looks like Marino in the old days yelling at everyone.

Palko for Heisman? Just like Fouts for commentator of the year and Mark May for Analyst of the year. HAHA

Palko is in full meltdown. He's completely lost control of himself and the offense. Gotta love it.

This is the thing that was missing since Holtz, beating the hell out of teams that we are supposed to do. None of this close game against Navy BS, you come out there and say that we are going to stuff it down your throat all game and try to stop us.

The good thing is that we KNOW Weis will fix all these problems.
