That was my first question, there was noone that could beat out Richardson. Everytime there was a big play for the other team last year, BC, Pitt, anyone them you knew that Richardson was the man in coverage.

I get the feeling this is more a case of Pitt's D being bad than our O being good, but D-Walker showed up to PLAY today.

On D, it's kinda the same thing... this doesn't look anything like the offense that lit us up for 41 points last year, and while our defense looks tighter, it's not THAT much tighter.

I'm optimistic, though... solid performance so far, pretty much what I was expecting. And hey, a win's a win. Keep this up for two more quarters, and that's what they'll get. C-Dub can iron things out later this week.

Walker's vision seems to be better, he is hitting the holes and using the wisdom hes gained, I dont think Pitts D is that good either but this is better then the Offensive preformance we saw last year against no D in BYU.

Pitt's renewed emphasis on rushing sure isn't helping them much. I hope Wannstedt stays stubborn and keeps running in the next half. If they adjust and put it all on Palko's arm again, things could get dangerous.

We are watching one the top 5 offenses in the country.
Quinn looks great. One bad play. Everything else crisp and precise.

Walker is a stud. You gotta love the way he waits for the hole. He doesn't go pounding into a bunch bodies because the hole is supposed to be there.

The playcalling is completely unpredictable. Pitt doesn't know what's coming or from where. You gotta love CW.

35 points by halftime. Are you kidding me? ND scored 35 or more twice all of last year. One was a loss to Pitt. The other was against Wash and they sucked.

Does Dan Fouts have money on Pitt?

I don't think the defense is in dire straits. They giving up less points than the O is scoring and that's all that matters in the end

Being a former offensive lineman, I'm very impressed with the holes they are opening up for our backs. This is one of the best collective line games in a long time. Aside from a few mental mistakes, they are controlling the LOS and giving Quinn time and backs holes.

I am wondering the same thing. How much longer are they going to hang on to his performance from last year? He is not getting it done tonight. Notre Dame is the better team right now. Fouts quit whining about missed penalties, Notre Dame knows what it is like to be screwed by the Refs, it happens, don't believe me, watch that kickoff in the '93 BC game. I will give you my house if you can show me the personal foul that gave BC that field position.

If this is the way that this offense is going to play all year, it is going to be fun to watch.

Yeah, he wanted a penalty on both Vic and the Duke. Good no calls on both ends... of course, Vic did hit him a full 3-4 seconds after releasing the ball.
