Notre Dame announced a once-a-year change of pace uniform, not a contract with the devil. If you feel like this kills the soul of a program or means Kelly, Jack Swarbrick and equipment manager Ryan Grooms should be looking for new jobs that puts you dangerously close to the “angry man on the front porch” phase of your fandom, and you should quickly come back to the reality of college football in 2012 before you can never make it back. Notre Dame has switched uniforms before, and done so much more often than people probably realize.

Thanks Keith, I think some of the traditionalists need to do their homework. Besides, if we win, everyone will say how awesome we looked in these uniforms, if we lose, everyone will say how awful we looked in these uniforms.

We just need to win!

This uniforms and especially the helmets are a disgrace and debase the Notre Dame tradition!! I’m going to this game but may now rethink it! This IS NOT Notre Dame!

How many times have we changed uniforms? God we act like we are alums and have a right to say our Tradition... It's a football uniform it has no way of going against TRADITION !! It's for one game 3/4 of the helmet is gold, and we added the leprachaun so i feel it cool to see some different flare attitude in the uniform... Now i do agree leave the helmet gold, you can throw a leprachaun, clover etc. on it just leave it all GOLD...

It should be just like it is now with the blue and the leprechaun but all gold with a shamrok or leprechaun while still being blue with the leprechaun... in all GOLD.
