randy moss is a punk. he'll fit in well with this team. however, great pick up for the raiders. this could definitely make them contenders.

I wish him well... but I don't think the Vikings got any value out of him.

IMO, Oakland now has the best recieving corps in the League (if Burress doesn't re-sign with Pittsburgh).

Don't sleep on Porter & Curry...nasty WR's.

yeah if Burress leaves the Steelers than the Raiders have the best WR espically if they pick up someone like Alex Smith TE from Stanford in the second round of the draft.

Salary cap salary cap salary cap....Look at the Pats, and the eagles.

Ty Law was released today. Why on earth will a team spend 12.5 million on him, but you know one team will.

Raiders may be gaining Moss, but I heard there trading Woodson.

Rice needs to be picked up by the jets, he's cheap, and the guy can run his routes. Pennington has the weakest arm in the nfl, so a guy like rice makes sense to him, jets need to trade santana moss, he's a down field threat, so obvisously he doesn't fit in with the jets...

Apparently Santana Moss for Laverneus Coles is in the works.

As for Ty Law, if I was a team one DB away from a championship run...I'd spend the cash on him. Definitely worth more than an injury-prone Woodson at this point.

I think the dynasty is over. Losing Law (and Crennell and Weis) will finally catch up to New England.

You know its funny, I've said that so many times in the past that I refuse to say it anymore. When the Pats met the Rams in the superbowl, I gave them no chance and they won. When the saw the Colts this year w/o Law and Poole, I gave them no chance and they won. When I saw Owens actually playing well this year in the Superbowl, I started to think my worst nightmare was about to come true and the Eagles would win a superbowl, but no, again, the Pats win. My gut tells me your right Lyght, and no team can overcome losing 2 great coordinators and a possible hall of fame CB (not to mention there's still a chance Poole will be gone when its all said and done too) but I just can't pick against that team anymore, so I have to pick the Pats to win it all again next year until somebody knocks them off. I've just been wrong too many times about that team, they're like the Atlanta Braves of football. Every year I say, err, well, used to say, "This is the year the Braves don't win the division." and every year they do it again.

I think Moss for Coles w/ the Jets is a great trade though (for the Jets that is). I think Moss is so over rated (all my friends who are Jets fans kill me every time I say that, but I really think its true). He's got great straight ahead track speed, but his hands are suspect, he's not very strong, and I don't think he even can change direction all that well when he's trying to get open.

losing law shouldn't hurt them too much, they won the super bowl without him. When they lost lawyer Milloy a couple of years ago everyone said it would be a huge blow, but it wasn't.

Losing Weis was there biggest blow so far, Weis totally ran that offense, no OC in the NFL had more leeway then Weis. But luckily for them they have one of the smartest QB's around.

Mushin Muhammad signed by the Bears....Good pickup for them, now they just need a QB to throw to him. Grossman doesn't impress me much, Florida QB's are a product of the system, when Spurrier left Florida, notice how Grossman struggled....Bears may be interested in Warner. Lubby smith is a heck of a coach in my opinion.

I think Rex may be the best Florida pro QB...I know it's like being the tallest cat at a midget convention, but still. And Muhhamed is a great pick-up.

I think Moss is even with Coles. For as short as he is, Santana is dangerous in a vertical passing game.

As for the Pats, I think Crennel might be the bigger loss (and I love C-Dub). But IMO, the Pats "D" won them the last championship, not the offense.

have to disagree w/ you there (and not just b/c I love Charlie Weis). Yes, the pats D is their bread and butter, but that offense was great too and had a bigger hand in winning the last championship then it had had in either of the previous 2. Also, they still have Belichek to coach that defense, but it remains to be seen if anyone can step into Weis' shoes coaching that offense.

I agree the Pat's offense is a great system that takes advantage of it's players...but I think Corey Dillon took a lot of pressure off of Brady & Weis this year.

But the way Harrison, Bruschi, and the depleted defensive backfield played, I think that you have to give Romeo (and Belicheck) a lot of credit.

I think that Romeo will be to Belicheck what Belicheck was to Parcells, in the sense that they never won the title again without their coordinator.

If true, you will never know which coordinator caused the meltdown, since he lost both of them at the same time. In the end, Belicheck is a defensive-minded coach. He certainly held Cremmel in extremely high regard because he knows what it takes to have a great D, but this also suggests that he was more directly concerned with the defense than with the offense.
