Great choice.

KG's a good site. Always an interesting read...even if I don't agree with a lot of the content.

OT: But Lyght i was shocked to see you bringing in the pro-ty stuff when the article had just proven ty's so called integrity wrong. I was just

Pete,

It's called due process, brother. You have to wait until all the facts of a particular incident are revealed. The article didn't "prove" anything. That's the point I was making. Also, as ND fans, it shouldn't even concern us unless any allegations were linked to wrong-doings in South Bend.

First, you crticize the guy for his inability to recruit. Now, he might've gone out and recruited as though his last name were Bowden or Stoops or Carroll (not quality-players, but the players and their qualties) and you criticize him for that? I think that he is no longer the head coach at Notre Dame and he should be a dead subject around here. Why pick on the guy who has no effect on the program anymore? If we want to talk about coaches of Notre Dame football, then talk about the coaches of Notre Dame football, as in Coach Weis and his staff...and the national championship coaches are okay too. But this is beating a dead horse and it oughta stop. As for Kelly Green, I'll have to go take a look because I've honestly never been.

Why do we talk trash about our girlfriends when we break up with them? Why do we still curse the refs that called the ND-Pitt game?

As anybody that has studied psychology and the way the human mind works. The human mind NEEDS closure. The same reason a lot of people can not sleep at night after a big event has just occurred. In order to make it alright with yourself, and to put in a way you can be content with the out come, the need to rationalize it continuously in your own way is always going to be present.

It is how the human mind works!!!!

Now with that said, the reason people keep bringing up the Ty subject is because, ND was given an over all raw deal by EVERYBODY (even some of the loyal ND fans). And Ty suckham walked away like a victim when he in fact received what was coming to him. And especially nowadays when we are starting to see his performance sucks at Washington, so we are even more fired up about it. He is a lazy jackass and he is proving it more and more everyday at washington.

This is why some people can not "drop the subject".

I agree with you that people need closure. But the reality is, that closure almost never ever happens in the world of sports (pro or college).

True ND fans are not the ones railing against Willingham, or still bi-atching about Bob Davie as they cry into their kelly-green beer. IMO, true Irish fans are the ones who are excited about the upcoming season, and they wish Ty & UW the best (except for on September 24th, 2005).

And bmf, I think we will always disagree over you calling Ty a "jack-@$$", but we're a lot closer in opinion than you think, my bro-ham.

Lets be honest here, Stanford and ND made Ty's reputation. Ty is no better personally then any other coach, and I now know that by seeing the crop hoodlums he's brought in at UW.

Ty has class my ass. Why's he bringing in bums and JUCOS,half he's freakin class are JUCOS most big time programs only bring in like 2 or 3 JUCOS (unless your nebraska)

Ty ain't the saint we all thought he was....

He's bringin in JuCos because he wants instant reults, IMO. And if Ty doesn't has class, who does? The game in general is shady. Ty seems to be the least shady out out of all of them.

AH he IS shady. Weis is shady? Were? He brought in "class" guys. Davie graduated more players than Ty, etc. So comparing a crime to a parking ticket is what to expect from a "class" man. I guess the dictionary must have changed since i was in school.

P.S. - Sean over at KellyGreen is trippin', I think he's scared of dissenting opinions and honest discussion. I've been banned over there and apparently my only crime is that I don't fall into the monolithic ideology that Sean espouses. I take back my "site of the month" kudos. I like KG, but...WAR Irish Envy!

And I agree. Our opinions are not to far of a contrast, BUT I disagree with only TRUE ND fans wishing Ty the best.

Because of his coaching we have had 2 sub-par years and this past recruiting season would have been a whole lot better if ND was not played the fool because of TY.

If you wish TY the best or not, it does not influence your level of being a TRUE ND fan. Those two subjects are independent of themselves.

And of course closure that suits everybodies needs does not happen in sports, thats why people will continue to BIATCH.
