I just noticed this and it had to happen in the last couple days or less because I check both daily, but 5 star Doug Worthington has backed down to a soft verbal at OSU.

Interesting.

"That gave me a lot of jitters and stuff," Worthington said. "But I talk to a couple of the recruits all the time. I don't think the NCAA would do something, but I'm just looking out for myself."

Hilarious. He doesn't even care if they're (tOSU) guilty or not, he just cares that the NCAA doesn't do anything about it. He also doesn't come across like a team player, since he-by his own admission-is only interested in himself.

Anyway, he's a damn good football player:

Doesn't sound like the kind of guy ND wants (from a character standpoint; now on the field that's different)...we can get other guys who are team players and clean and just as good athletes. All we'd need is a Maurice Clarett like scandal in CDub's first year....leave that stuff for the Buckeyes and Miami's of the world.

He doesn't sound like an at-risk type of guy or one with character flaws at all. He is an NFL prospect and he wants to go somewhere he'll get showcased.

As he said, he is visiting because he needs an insurance policy incase of sanctions. He isn't, nor should his career be held back because of what that idiot Tressell has done.

ND would be extremely blessed to pry him away from Ohio State. We do not have one player on the defensive side of the ball with his abilities. It would be one of the shockers of the year.

He used his last official visit on Boston College, so I am pretty sure we aren't even in the picture anymore, so this is a moot point.

Oh well. I hope he ends up and OSU. =)
