10. Evan Sharpley

College: Notre Dame
A three-year starter at quarterback, Sharpley also played defensive back this past season. He excels in basketball and baseball, and has a 4.0 grade-point average. He's the 10th player in the state to pass for more than 50 touchdowns (61) and 5,000 yards (5,216) in a career. This past season he completed 91 of 188 attempts for 1,389 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also rushed for five touchdowns. Sharpley was selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
13. David Grimes
Detroit De Porres, 5-10, 170
College: Notre Dame
A two-year starter at receiver, Grimes also started at defensive back this past season and returned kicks. He runs the 40 in 4.5 seconds and helped De Porres win a state track title last spring. Grimes is sure-handed and runs precise routes. Grimes had 45 receptions this season for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. "He does a little of everything and remembers everything," Coach Greg Carter said. "He's the same type of player as his brother Carl (a freshman at Michigan State)." Grimes has a 3.8 grade-point average and is the starting point guard on the basketball team.
