Just wanted to let everyone know that he looks to now be headed towards the Golden Dome. One of my coworkers sons goes to Roncali and played football with this kid and he is now turning his sights towards us.

I see Rivals has also picked up on this story. I'll let you know if I find out any more.

do you have any info on him. All the info I can find on him is different. I think rivals has him listed at 250 lbs, then irish eyes has him listed as 225lbs, they also have him listed as a top 50 DT. I think he'd need to gain alot of weight to become a DT. He has good 40 time 4.8 .....Seems more like a project. Which isn't a bad thing, perhaps Weis can develop him.

recruiting won't be good this year i think. We probably won't use all our 21 offers, so I'll take all the 3 star players I can get, next year should be better.

Like what?

He was measured at Roncalli at 6'4" 251lbs. He played mainly the DL, but got some reps on the OL, too. He also plays basketball, if that gives you an idea of what kind of athlete he is. I've also heard Purdue has been pushing hard for him.

He's a pretty big body, if he gains some more we can throw him on the o line.

Were fine at the o line next year but after that its scary bad.

As a fan, this is my biggest concern for ND. They are going to have to get some very skilled guys in there quick or it is going to be BLITZ CITY for anyone on ND's schedule for the next two or three years. If you want to play within a year, ND is the place to go for blue chip O-linemen.

You hear anything from your friend on Kuntz. I was hoping he'd be Irish by now. Think I read somewhere he's announcing on the 18th. He's a big ND fan from what I hear as well.

Nope tightlipped. I know Roncalli is planning something big because it has been on local sports radio. I have a gut feeling he is Irish because his family is big ND fans and Roncalli wouldn't make such a big deal if it were a smaller school.

Kuntz will hold a press conference on Tuesday (verify?) to announce his college choice.

I will give my friend a call tomorrow to try and get specifics. I'll also check to see if any local stations are carrying it and if they have a web feed, etc.

I believe there is going to be a press conference at Roncalli at 1:00pm. I'm still trying to find out if the local ESPN 950 is going to cover it before he goes on with Lemming.

Just an update. It appears it isn't going to be covered by 950, just on the Roncalli local CCTV school network. After that, he will be on with Lemming as mentioned. I will do my best to see if I can get a vidcap.

Or two... it is being reported by Lemming that Hand will commit tomorrow.

Damn, that's a nice d-line even w/o Wilson! Now if Wilson comes, that could be a really really solid line for a few years.

Hand is a biggie IMO. He is that wide body that will force teams to run around the ends. If we land a nice side-to-side linebacker, WATCH OUT.

I tried to contact the Roncalli head coach several times today to get a copy of the commitment but have not heard back from him.

I'll keep you posted. Regardless, welcome to Notre Dame.
