Finally!

Call it my Cub bias, but I really think he was underrated for what he did during his day. Well, he is finally making the Hall of Fame! Rock on.

It's about time, he should of gotten in the first time. When you look at his home run numbers for the time period he played, it's outstanding, wouldn't be so good now though, as 2nd base has become a power position. MVP winner in 1984 I believe as well. Ton of gold gloves.

Surprized Rice hasn't gotten in.

Wish Mattingly could get a shot, but his career wasn't long enough. Gotta love Donnie Baseball.

kirby Puckett getting in a few years ago was a joke. Got in on his first attempt to.

It will be interesting to see if guys like jose conseco and albert belle get in. The media hated them.

I never thought I'd see the day when the Red Sox won the world seriers. Now left is right, right is left, down is up, up is down. Cubs curse may be over soon.

Its about damn time they voted in Sandberg. Not letting him in but letting in Puckett in one try is a joke. I do beleive Puckett deserves to be in the hall, but at the same time I'll concede you can't let him in on one try and make Sandberg wait, that's just b.s.

puckett was a sympathy vote. obviously his career BA was phenomenal, decent power numbers, and he would have cruised past 3,000 hits had his eyeball not quit. six gold gloves, one batting title, 7 top ten MVP finishes, and, most importantly to the voters, two world series rings.

and i always did love ryno growing up. that cubs team was great with autographs when i was a kid, especially leon durham (3 autos on the same mitt), and i have 3 lee smith save balls that he pitched versus the padres.

I agree on the Puckett thing, although, if I sit and write my Top 10-15 players from when I was a kid (during the 80s-early 90s), he is on the list.

But Ryno... man, always have loved the Cubs.
