He has decommitted from Purdue and committed to the Irish. Rivals rates him as the # 11 TE and Tom Lemming has him at # 8. GO IRISH! :awesomewo

Good choice. But maybe he's only coming because we just beat Tenn. and they just lost 4 in a row.

He said that he wasn't sure he really wanted to committ to Purdue in the first place. He said he knew how much he would be missing if he didn't go to ND. Plus he wants to major in architecture and Purdue doesn't have that major. He said he is 100% sure on the Irish and said this is where he wants to be!

surprised we got another tight end

surprised we got another tight end

Im glad we bagged such a highly recruited tight end but if my memory serves me correct I believe that spot is already 6 deep and we just had a tight end leave us for Miami cause of the lack of playing time.

My point is its great we got him and we should keep him but dont we need more talent in other areas. How many scholarships can we dedicate to one position? :usa:

This is my thinking as well. I know that you need two good TEs to be successful in the West Coast, but there are positions of greater importance to be had.

After this season we only have three TE's Fasano, Freeman, and Carlson. So i think 4 on a roster is pretty adequate. We need some linemen now. Bring on the Beef!

I'm very happy with getting Hiben. Tight End wasn't the most important position for us to recruit this year. But by the time Fasano leaves for the Nfl, Hiben will have enough experience to step right in and play. I do think the offensive line is the most important position for us to recruit this year....

The good thing is Fasano is coming back! He started coming into his own this year and than they forgot to get him the ball on the seem.

Don't forget Dray. We have a realistic shot at getting two top-tier tight ends with this class.

I sure wish we could get some WR's also.We need a deep threat.A game breaker that can do something after the catch.Shelton was the only one I saw this year.Linemen are also a bid need.We don't blow anyone off the ball anymore.Wish bone, the good ol'days. Were bigger than you and you know what we are going to run but you can't stop it. :rocket:

if david nelson comes to south bend, what do you think his chances of being a deep threat are?
