Yeah he decommitted a few days ago. I'm actually glad he left, he was a no name recruit. It was going to hurt our chances getting hord having 3 receivers already, now that Frierson is gone, Hord may change his mind about ND. I have no idea why Ty offered Frierson. I was hoping he'd decommit. It was looking like Ty wanted to bring in 5 recievers and 2 linemen. LoL. Very Davie like.

Understand the theory, but until I see him sign or we're "high" on his board, I don't like it. Losing a player is never good and to say Hord was afraid because of a "no name" receiver is even worse.

Even when he committed at first, he was still taking visits to other schools. This bothered me very much.

ND has been weak at the wide receiver position a long time. We need to bring in higher quality guys at that position. I just didn't see the purpose of waster a spot to Frierson. I wouldn't be surprised if Weis was happy he left. Maybe Weis told him he wasn't right for his system. Weis seems to be going after Hord really hard. If he gets Hord it would be silly to have 4 wide receivers in this class, we have Grimes, and Nelson. Mcdonald & Hord have interest in coming.

This is why I hate recruiting. Just shows how your word means nothing these days. If I commit, thats what I do. Why commit if your not sure. Reminds me of QB C.J. Leak, remember he was a lock coming to ND then last minute went to Wake Forest (yes Wake Forest, must have been some money involved). Sucked at the time, but thank god he did goto Wake. Now he's a 4th string LB for Tennessee.

A solid verbal and a letter of intent are two different things. Until you sign, you're free to go wherever you choose. Firing Ty Willingham has cost us dearly this recruiting period. Weis could have one hand tied behind his back from the get go.
