  • A lot of the recruits will report the offer as 'Norte Dame' on Twitter, either as a spelling error or else how they think it's spelled upon early exposure.

Not sure if it's intentional in the OP though lol...

I've got family in Carlsbad. I can have them drop the bag in... 2.5 years.

I think it's been making the rounds again because that guy was just selected in the first round of the CFL draft lol...

  • He's a relatively recent departure, though it was before the whole website transition. We lost track of him pretty early in the year during the IE fantasy football league last fall....

Maybe he got mailers from both schools with the generic "we want you!" messaging, and someone told him to go ahead and start publicizing his "offers"?

Or, could just be a na´ve kid taking too much from early communications.

  • That's a Marcus Freeman/Chad Bowden special.

Similar to targeted billboards Cincinnati has been using in Ohio and Kentucky:

There was a similar billboard in Owensboro... aka Gavin Wimsatt's neighborhood....

  • I'm pretty sure ND is already working with players on building "brands" so they can monetize their social media presence and do some other things with their own individual returns when the time comes.

I know ND is also already using billboards with current players to market in...

I think ND needs a 'personality' to get over the top. BK's 'business' approach has gotten the program back to a great place, and if he hits on a QB, it will be enough to finally win a natty, which is about all you can ask for. But if you can find a guy that can maintain/steward that foundation, while...

Anybody else feel like getting excited about the future of the Notre Dame defense under Marcus Freeman on a Tuesday morning?

From a way-too-early 2022 mock draft via Dane Brugler of the Athletic:

Gardner is the 4th CB off the board, and Sanders would...

Did some digging through old posts, Narduzzi was there too.

(And I thought he would be a decent hire...... never late me make personnel decisions for a high-level football program)...

Rhule, Dantonio and one other name that escapes me were the guys that ND looked into after '16.

And the powers that be essentially decided that none of those guys were worth the cash it would've taken to make a change, so they went with the soft reset instead, which was obviously a huge...

  • This news would've ruined my day three years ago.

Now it's just another highly-rated WR that couldn't firmly grasp the 'traits,' or didn't want to wait to do so.

Not sure if I'm in a healthier place as a fan, or if I'm numb to losing the highly rated guys at this point....

The WR's are almost certain to be better, or at least to be more consistent options than the feast-or-famine approach we got from Skowronek and McKinley last season, simply based on Coan being willing to throw to Mayer down the seam, and based on the fact that the run game isn't going to be hitting...

Golden Tate was always the betting favorite...

But I heard recently that it was actually Armando Allen that did the deed lol.

Have never heard WHY someone finally popped him, but apparently it was only a matter of time until any number of offensive players not named Kyle Rudolph...

Honestly, not the first time I’ve heard of ACTIVE ND players being terrible recruiting “hosts” and actually turning guys off of ND with what they say and how they act.

Haven’t heard anything similar in the past few years, which I think is credit to both the program’s...

Bengals trade back, get a starting OG that might be able to play OT next year, AND they can use their extra fourth-round picks to grab Hainsey and Tremble.
