If Louisville beats WVU does that drop them just before us on the polls? pushing ND back another spot?

Louisville wins. Line opened at 2.5 and is now at 1. That means the betting public is going with WVU. Louisville might even be the dog when the game kicks off.

I likey.

John Carlson's number: 89. The same number as a certain tight end wore when he played for the team he coached. A certain team from a certain Midwest town that begins in C, ends in O and in the middle is the word: HICAG.

BTW the combined average SOS of WVU, Louisville, and Rutgers (the only top 25 teams eachother players) is 86. So no matter who wins it still means little and the winner will go on to get creamed by whom ever else ends up in the NC. I think if I were a fan of either team I would be hoping for a loss to spare my team the embarassment.

Let me guess... you'll make your bold prediction on Friday morning?

Nahhhhhhhh, I'll one for you later on tonight........I'm that good.

Quite frankly, I'm thinking West Virginia hurts Louisville, but I'll be pulling for Louisville so it'll be more impressive when Rutgers beats them next Thursday.

Halftime score The Ville 16, WV 14

I gotta say, I'm not impressed. Two MAC-tacular defenses and two talented but flawed offenses. Louisville is constipated in the Red Zone. WV can't pass the ball, and they've fumbled at least four times.

No way either of these teams beats Florida, Texas, Auburn, USC....

Oh yeah, and five personal foul penalties in the half. Way to keep it classy for your big primetime game.

You've got to be licking your chops right now. A win over the Buckeyes would be as good as winning the title. Neither of these teams could stand up to OSU or Michigan. As it is, I'm not happy to be ranked behind either.

Slaton is quite a back, though.

You're right, the Irish would cream either of these teams. For once, the computers are right on.

Three minutes into the second half, and there have been three more fumbles and another personal foul penalty.

All these fumbles, and the defenses aren't even hitting that hard. What if these guys were getting hit by the LSU or Auburn or O$U or Michigan defense?

WVU a top 10 team...I think not. They can't pass or play defense. Their fumbling problems in this game doesn't help their great running game. I agree either would get killed by a number of other teams in better conferences. I would also give our beloved Irish a very good shot at defeating WVU.

If Louisville had any red zone offense, they would be up by 28 in the middle of the third. The red zone appears to be the area that Louisville misses Michael "the other" Bush.

neither of these teams are top 10 material... just so many mistakes, like that sequence of 3 fumbles in 4 plays. that was absolutely ridiculous. no way that kind of football gets played at the top 10 level. did you guys see the "hurry up" at the end of the 2nd? it was an embarassment. louisville is dominating, but basically in spite of themselves.

however, does anybody see a jones/aldridge backfield being like white/slaton, but with a better passing game and a robot genius coach? : )

Neither team is a Top 10 caliber team and I think they showed that tonight, both are way overrated and neither can play any defense, it will be interesting to see how Rutgers fairs against both.

I felt the same way about the Irish while watching the Michigan game.

Rutgers will beat both teams and, God help us, play ND in a bowl.
