University of Notre Dame head football coach Charlie Weis will hold a press conference to discuss the 2006 Irish Football Signing Class in the Isban Auditorium of the Guglielmino Athletic Complex on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 12 noon -- and the only place you hear or watch it live is on www.und.com.
Notre Dame's official athletic web site, www.und.com, will carry exclusive (and free!) coverage of the press conference in its entirety. In addition, Fighting Irish All-Access subscribers can access a video highlight package featuring each of Notre Dame's signees.
Also, in a sneak preview of additional Fighting Irish All-Access capabilities and future products, Coach Weis' press conference will be available via Podcast, which can be found at CSTV Online's Podcast page on ITunes.
Notre Dame's official athletics web site will be the exclusive home for all future Irish media events and press conferences. Wednesday's signing press conference will give all Irish fans a chance to see Notre Dame's top-of-the-line Fighting Irish All-Access capability. In the future, all of Notre Dame's media events (save a few unscheduled special events) will fall under the Fighting Irish All-Access subscription package.
Any media entity collecting any sort of "video or audio materials" (film, traditional video or audio, digital video or audio, photos, etc.) from University of Notre Dame Athletics press conference events may use that material only within a seven-day period following the event for traditional television newscasts, Web-based or print coverage, or other electronic transmission as approved by the University in writing, with a limitation of up to three (3) minutes in length from any single event. Such media entity may not offer any live video, audio or other coverage of the event without the advance, written permission of Notre Dame Athletics.

That should be a good interview with Cowherd. I've heard Charlie on his show a few times and each time it was informative and enjoyable.

Cowherd used to rag on ND when Ty was at the helm (on the administration as much as the coach/team), but he was one of the few people who recognized what a good decision it was to fire Ty and hire Charlie. Ever since Charlie's been at the helm, while not a Notre Dame fan, Cowherd has supported ND. He realizes what a good coach Weis is and he subscribes to the idea that a good Notre Dame is good for college football.

Also, as a big college football fan, he recognizes the importance of recruiting and said so much a few weeks ago. His statement was that following college football and ingnoring recruiting is like following the NFL and ingnoring the draft. I'm assuming our recruiting class will be the major topic of discussion.
