He better wear all 3 of those rings when he is recruitng.

As much as i dislike the Pats that 3rd SB must help with brining in some top talent next year.

Yep. And it is like Chow at USC - the o at the Pats is all his. So lets see what he does with Brady at ND. I hope his o at ND will be just as good as the o at the Pats. Ill bet the pats arent that good next year - weis is a really tough loss.

Weis has four SuperBowl rings. 1 with the Giants, 3 with the Pats. He's been to the SuperBowl 5 times, and won 4 of them, 3 as an offensive coordinator.

yeah, but that one w/ the Giants he was very low level coach, so I don't think he talks about that one too much b/c he knows he didn't have a whole lot to do w/ it.

a ring is a ring, he's got four, regardless of how much input he had. it's one more to the collection.

He'd better wear this latest one at least. No one has paid for it more than Notre Dame. I really wish they would have lost earlier in the playoffs. I don't know how much it would have helped, but every little bit does based on the situation.

If Weis can make stars out of Brady, Deion Branch and Mike Vrabel I think he can take Brady Quinn and the ND receiving core and make them an 8-3 team. He needs to get them back into that range AND win a bowl game. Beating Michigan and USC would be nice. When they're back on the schedule, I want a massacre against BC.

I keep hearing all this hatred towards BC...where did this begin? i didnt realize they were such a rival? is it just from last time we played them and we lost when we were the favorites?

there is a lot of hatred on these boards for BC - a lot of people would like to see the series eliminated.

everyone else can speak to the reasons for their dislikes, but mine come down to two simple memories. the first was the national championship they stole from us in '93, and the arrogant, smug interview that their quarterback - was his name foley? - gave sports illustrated after the game. the second is the memory of a boston college player ripping up sod from the notre dame field a few years back after they'd knocked us off....that's just taking it too far.

having said that, my hate for BC is more of a strong dislike. hate? i reserve that for schools like michigan state, ohio state and, well...all things florida.

Don't forget about the BC players going to the bathroom (number 1 and 2) all over the locker room in the lockers, on the floor. Disgusting.

Feel bad for whoever had to clean that up.

There fans have no class, there jealous of ND. They consider themselves the ND of the east coast when there not..

ahhh i completely forgot about the 93' game! that was terrible, the other garbage (sod, lockerooms) is just a reflection of the quality of their program.

The way i look at BC is this - Why go there when you have a ton more tradition, etc at Notre Dame. I was at the ND campus 2 years ago and it was just beautiful. Ive never seen such a beautiful campus before!

I say this from the Irish-Catholic point of view. Notre Dame (despite it’s french name) is viewed as the Irish Catholic University, BC - because of it’s location- is the other. So it’s sort of like a sibling rivalry - you don’t hate your little brother, you just hate getting punked by your little brother and ND has been punked way too many times by BC. It seems that every time ND is one step away from something BC is there to ruin it. Especially ‘93

BC is Jesuit, and refers to itself as a "Jesuit Institution" rather than a "Catholic University." I watched the basketball game with some BC grads and they even referred to themselves as "Jesuits" rather than "Catholics" (because Jesuits are so much more enlightened). Gag me with a fork.

The Jesuits are a Catholic Religious order last time i checked. Does BC teach their students anything? lol.

Boston College seems the flavor with everybody I speak to. Most people just don't seem to care about ND. The Fighting Irish certainly have a stronger following in the Midwest and Southwest then they do in New England.

Continuing with the conversation about the Jesuits, if by Catholic you mean "true to the authentic teachings of the Church," the general population of Boston strikes me as about as Irish Catholic as Pyongyang.

Starting in 1993, BC has kicked ND ass up and down the field. What is the record since the 92 blowout? I don't have the numbers, but it's bad. Makes me want to puke.

The recent tradition is BC kicking ND's ass. A loss is a loss. I believe the series starts up again in 06 or 07. The next time they play, there is no excuse for anything but a win.
