Leaving this Thursday for the Czech Republic, for 3-? weeks, for work. How's a guy supposed to live without watching the Irish play??? Don't know if the bars will have it on, and with the 9 hour time difference (from here in Phoenix), don't know the tv scheduling issues? HELP!!!

I can't speak for the Czech Republic, but after having suffered an entire season of ND football from abroad, here's a few tips.

1) Definitely worth looking for on TV. Just prepared to stay up late.
2) If not on TV, somebody WILL be streaming it online. Google "ND football live streaming" and follow links. Can take a little time to find good links, so give yourself time.
3) Try to have at least 2 pages open at once. Only have one going at a time, but if that stops streaming you should be able to switch to the other an not lose a beat.
4)Look at ESPN 360. If you're desperate enough to pay 15 bucks, they usually carry the games.

and, finally

5) follow the posts at Irish Envy.

Answering my own question. The answer is SlingBox!! Had my wife go and pick one up at Best Buy (Electronics store) and they hooked it up so I could watch the ND game (which sucked seeing the outcome since I had to get up at 2am to tune in) live just like home.

Good call. I had a buddy who watched all the San Jose Sharks games from Massachusetts using slingbox, didn't think of it for this though. I feel your pain, there's nothing worse than getting up at 2 or 3 am and watching a close and painful ND loss and being the only person in an entire country doing so.

Please tell me you're going to Prague. I think I lost my soul there.
